I am planning on taking my cherokee out for its first run under my ownership either of the weekends above depending on time to register it. I was thinking of doing slaughterhouse because it is close, and not overly difficult.

My wife will be driving the KJ. Anyone else down for a run on wone of those days?

For the most part Sundays are no good for me. Especially the next two...

I could wheel on the 3rd though.

It looks like the weekend of the 10 and 11th will have to be the one. I would prefer the 11th, which is Sunday.

You pick a date and go with it. It could be too tough to please everyone.

Alright I was waiting on the completion of the XJ to see when we should go, but I have realized that may take a while. I am planning on running slaughterhouse on Sunday the 11th. Meet at the gas station right before the turn off at 9:00. I think it is a conoco please correct me if I am wrong.

Last time we met at the Safeway in Conifer at 9:00am. http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?addr= ... name=&qty=

It's an easy landmark and people can grab lunch and a coffee at the Starbucks before they hit the trail. It's only a few miles down the road from the turnoff to Slaughterhouse too.

Safeway sounds good to me. See you there at 9:00AM

Take 285 to conifer. When you see a safeway on the right hand side get off and meet us there. we can lead you the rest of the way.
Here is a more detailed set of directions and a site that can get you to many many trails

Well, I won't be able to make it. I was given a special offer that I couldn't refuse.

Take I-25 north to 470 west to 285 west to the Safeway in Conifer...which will be on your right in a small shopping center. Zoom out in the map in my post above.

So who's all going?

Looks like so far:

damo252
Rock Lizard
Me(well nearly 100% sure)

EDIT: I changed Bailey to Conifer as in my earlier post...sorry ...

I'm glad you posted, because I almost forgot to. Unfortunately, I cannot make it. I had family come into town Thursday that we haven't seen in forever as an unexpected surprise, which is a good thing, so I am going to stick around the house this weekend. This also put me behind on a few orders and I didn't get to finish getting my jeep ready for the trail, so that doesn't help either. Hope you guys have fun, and we'll see you on the 25th at China Wall.

Kugellager and I had a great day, wheelin and the weather. had lots of fun and didn't break or damage anything. What more can you ask for?
