Dogs should be fine.

Last time we had the beach area all to ourselves.

Hubby said yes, sub said yes, dog is ready to go... and I even have Monday, the 10th, off! Now if gas prices would drop dramatically after labor day...

For all those that weren't with us during last year's OBX run, here is the Kitty Hawk Kites website. We met at location #8. http://www.kittyhawk.com/aboutus/where.cfm

I have put a post for this in the Trails Forum.
Hopefully it will find it's place in the National Runs area.

I also posted this question in the trails forum. I was asking if we were going to get a list of food for a cook-out or if LoganSix was just going to set his grill up (which I have to say that the Fire & Ice grill does an excellent job) and cook anything that needs to be cooked. Maby a little grilled SPAM

Frisco Woods? Not sure.
It's the Government campground. I put a link to more information on the Trails site.
I know there were other campsites in the area, but I don't think they were on the beach like this one.

However, if you wanted a warm shower, you might want to look at one of the others.

Room for one more? Count me in. I'm an old beach rider and looking foward to wheel my KJ in the sand and meet some new people :D . Camping? where is Frisco? Bring food or community road kill? I'll keep my  eye on future posts.

Frisco is a little town south of Hatteras. There's a government campsite there. Check the post here and in the Trail Ride section for more information.

Bring food for yourself, unless you plan on working out something when some other people.

Yeah i took off the friday b4 and monday so im going to be down there for the weeked. I used to live down there so if i may i know some cool places to go down there... i dont know if this was done last time but there is a place you can on the beach @ corolla that i think is the best. the sand there is not bad at all theres a few spots mostly along the sand dunes. i was there this past weekend and thay had front wheel drive cars and vans out there lol. i like it because you can drive north till about va beach. along the way you see wild horses and other things. also there is a place to get on down in Hatteras Island. theres a few other trails that i know of "some only open certin times of the year" that are pretty long and wouldnt be to hard on the kj's with out the extra lift or agresive tires. i recomend that we stay @ The Oregon Inlet Campground. It is the camp ground right next to Oregon Inlet Where you drive out on the beach. i think it is only like 20 bucks eather a car or a person i dont recall. you must have a tent or something they wont let you sleep in your car, "but who will be sleeping?" well i hope some of the info i have given helps just let me know if theres anything that i can to help i dont know everything that there is to know about obx but im sure i can be of some help. oh yeah the website for the campgrounds is http://www.insiders.com/outerbanks/main-camping2.htm

Alright people, we are not too far away from the event (infact only 22 days away!) so we need to get organized! If you responded saying you were going to make it down, you need to tell everyone where your staying! Dean has 3 threads started about caming, hotels, and food on the beach. If everyone could please at least talk about this even a little more, we can be more orgaized than last year (Not like we were not to start, just almost nobody showed up). Lets get the ball MA!
