Just need to get those shock mounts done...I`m also considering ordering a Flowmaster Delta Series muffler. Which one was louder, the 40 or the 50?

Now that we have a firm date, who all is joining us?

Mike

Mike, the 40 is louder. The exhaust I have on my KJ is a Flowmaster 40 Series Deltaflow. I will be coming along with a TJ on 31s.

Well I'm off Tuesday(and all week for that matter) I would like to go, but I dont want to tear my sh*t up too bad. The pics from last time seemed like the trails were pretty rough. Other than the rediculous deep water, is there a bunch of tight trail riding or is it pretty much open?

The trails are a little rough, and the hardest parts have places to go around. There was alot of water holes and all of them had solid bottoms. There were no huge rocks like Paragon but the trail was still fun. I can't wait to run it again it takes about 2 hours if you stop and take pictures or just goof around.

Nate you can come down a try your luck. I know that an unlifted KJ can make it through most of the trail just fine. There are some tough spots though.

Better be fully armored...

The trails were were "tough" but doable. Like Chris said, no rocks like at Paragon so you should do just fine. It`s definately a fun little trail. Chris, have you heard back from Dave (?) yet?

Your welcome to ride in my KJ if you deside you dont want to take your KJ any further. Let me know if your coming so that you can convoy with us. We will be leaving around 6:30 (giving a 30 min window for traffic). If you dont have my cell or you lost it, pm me and I will give it to you again. I will be meeting my friend at Short Pump Mall if you deside last minute to come.

It sounds inviting, but I dont want to be the one holding you guys up when when I get hung up, especially since the beginning of the post says lifted only. Thanks for the offer though. This spring, I'll get that all taken care of.

Clayton, you coming? Anyone else? I`ll be leaving around 7am with Torrie and Brandin (my two boys 15 & 17). Chris said he`ll be down there before 9am and I should be there right before 9am. Not sure what time Richard and his friend will get there. See everyone at the Sheetz by 9am sharp! If you need my cell, pm me and I`ll get you it tonight or tomorrow morning before I leave.

Mike

Just got back from an awesome day of trail riding. I am sure that Mike will be on here in a minute and give his in depth report on things not to do will trail riding (complete with pictures), as taught by yours truly. Lets just say that a stock anything (SUV wise with the exception of a Rubicon) would not have faired well today. I will have my pics up as soon as I figure out all of my high tech garbage. In conclusion the Ice was slick, the holes were deep and the water was cold.

Yeah, ya`ll missed out on some serious fun ( and some "what not to do in a Jeep 101"... if your Chris that is  ). It turned out to be just Chris and me & the boys. We met up by 9am at the Sheetz and stocked up for lunch. Jason had called and couldn`t make it.

We hit the trails around 9:45ish and we went straight to the same one we did last time (Lost Mirrors). For the life of us, we couldn`t find that deep waterhole (but just wait for more on this one in a bit...). Maybe the name is apt, huh? ;)

We were a little surprised that the trails still had ice and snow. It made for a nicer scenery day as well as making the trails more... interesting. We did the little loop and after not finding that water hole, continued onto the rest of the trails. Some parts were a little better than I remembered and some parts were deeper or rougher than last time. As Chris said, if you were stock, it would have been a long day.

To keep it short and simple (and not to embarass Chris too much...:P), I`ll just say "test dummy Chris" got stuck, and subsequently strapped out, three times with the 3rd time being the lost waterhole we finally found after doing the trails and going back to the area it should have been. Honestly though, if he would have had a locker, he would have only got stuck in the waterhole and he only got stuck because he went too slow due to picture taking.

We also did a little Kephart`s Run to check it out but what`s left is just a boring trail that ends and no challenge whatsoever. Oh, the final river crossing to get to Rte. 33 was definately a LOT deeper with all the recent snow activity they have had. Made for some good pics and hair raising fun.

If I forgot something, Chris can add it in. Even though we`re picking on Chris here, we all had a blast and I`m sure Chris won`t pull any more "What not to do in a Jeep 101" classes next time... The trails were definately fun and the scenery beautiful. Sure got some nice pics so go check them out here.

Mike

WOW!!! Awesome pics you guys.Looks like you had a blast, aside from a couple spots.Guess thats all part of the fun.I know you were out on the GWNF is that somewhere near Richmond.I noticed you were meeting up I believe somewhere on Broad St. in Rich.I was up there on the 17th for a Christmas party at my District managers house off of Cox Rd.The only snow I saw up there were these little piles on corners that were pretty much nothing.Anyways cool pics and hope to join sometime.
