OBX October Run

I'd like to make it, but that's the 1st weekend of the Annapolis boat show which I have to work. I've never really ridden in the sand and I love to give it a try while getting a little more L.O.S.T. Hope to see you all at GWNF. Have fun!

Now would be the time to shore up your plans for the trip.

If you haven't decided if you are camping or staying in a hotel, better decide soon. There will probably be plenty of hotel rooms and camping available in the area, but early reservations for hotel rooms will probably be cheaper.

Currently there isn't a hotel selected. If someone who stayed in the hotel last year can make some recommendations for the group, please do in the thread in the National Runs area.

There are no reservations for the campsite, but it would be good to know who all is planning on camping.

Tallon1 & Wife (to be) Myself & Wife will be camping Friday night at the Frisco (I think I spelled that right) campsite.

Just wondering, did the hurricane that went through there a few weeks ago affect this run in any way?

I was just wondering if anyone knew if there were any closures or anything that would affect the run. I heard about the erosion and whatnot, so I was curious.

It's what the outerbanks are there for....to slow down hurricanes.

There are plenty of beach access ares. If ramp 49 is closed, we'll just head north a little while and jump on another one.

There's plenty of beach to be had. If we have problems in Frisco and around the point, we can always go further down to Hatteras Village or north to Rodanthe and Oregon Inlet. There's always Corolla or the soundside trails as last resorts. So, we should be fine.

sorry guys... gas prices are too high ofr us to fit this one the budget. Will try to make GWNF in a couple of weeks, it's a "little" closer to home!

Now, was this fun as hell or what? for those that didn`t go, you missed out on a ton of fun and some awesome scenery not to mention some fun beach wheeling. I`ll post up my pics and info later this evening.
