Dictum would be more fun to go up than down (since it goes from Rt. 33 to the atv staging area up top). We had gone down it. There is one crucial spot (about 1/4 - 1/2 mile from the Rt. 33 entrance) where a stock anything wouldn`t make it unless you stacked rocks and maybe other assistance. It has some steep "stairs" for lack of a better term.

I definately recommend having Boulder Bars, skids, and at least a rear locker before attempting. You may be able to get away with not having a rear locker but have some good tread. If conditions are wet, things can get dicey on the one end. We went down it on the left side and it was close to a tree and also nice little drop. Just be careful.

Take whatever you like. It`ll be fun no matter which, YJ or KJ. There will be many trails to have fun on, something for everyone both stock and modded.

They want to try Dictum Trail and we probably will. Luckly the Trail Leader has a TJ with only 2" bb and 31" MTRs. He is heavily armored but no locked, so he is not any better equiped than me. If he cannot make it, he will probably just lead us down the trails that we normally do.

Thanks

Nancy and I will be heading to the Brandywine Campground Friday evening to set up the camper. What time will you guys be at the trail head(the lake) on Saturday morning?

Get muddy

Not sure yet if I am driving down Friday night or Saturday morning, but I will be camping at the Brandywine Campground. Should be a nice cool night of camping and campfires,, did I mention beer? :D

Does the campground allow dogs?

Nat: George may know. I did find a # for them. Give them a call. 540-828-2591.

George, prolly as early as possible. The trails take longer than anyone would think so the earlier the better. We need to know who is coming on Saturday and what time they will be there. With that said, we can`t wait forever so for those getting there Saturday, be there as early as you can. :)

David or I will keep everyone up to date. In the meantime, the sooner we get feedback from everyone, the better.

Mike

Hey Joe, There is a campground just up the road where George and a few others will be staying. I might also camp Friday night just for the heck of it. Other than that the nearest Hotel is probably 20-30 min. from the lake where we got started at last time.
