Hi All, I just had my lift redone because the mechanic who installed it the first time did it wrong, I took it to a shop in North Jersey and they did a great job of fixing the probelms. I also installed a MagnaFlow exhaust and an AEM Bruteforce cold air intake trying to improve my mileage. I have seen about 2Mpg improvment so far but I was talking to my nephew and he told me that the Jeep Liberty has 2 small catalytic converters that come off the manifolds and this is a 1.5" pipe which adds restriction to the exhaust resulting in less then optimum performance. Does anyone out there know any thing about this and is there any aftermarket subtitutes Thanks. 2002 KJ limited 2.5" ARB lift Coils and struts AEM Bruteforce CAI Magnaflow Catback exhaust BF Goodrich 265/70/16 TA Jet performance chip |

Just curious... what kind of gas mileage do you get? I get about 13mpg pretty consistently. I have 11,000 miles right now and a few people have told me that I will get better gas mileage when the engine is broke in more. Dunno if its true though. |

Before the lift and tires I was @ 19-20 after the lift and tires I went down to 15-16 with the CAI and the Cat Back exhaust I"m @ 17-18. I"m a little heavy on the petal but if I make a consceince effort and keep it light I can do 19-20 MPG. My best was 22-23 on a trip to Canada. I have just turned 100,000 miles and I this is the best Jeep I have owned so far. |

Your not the only one bud...I have a flowmaster 40 on my KJ with wider pipes and I have filled up once. I saw around 14.6 mpg with mixed driving. This tank should show the true colors of how the new muffler helps. I am looking into intake to see if that will help as well. |
