Ladies and gentlemen of the Mid-Atlantic. Let’s get the party started for the August Rig of the Month. A theme for this month was not prearranged. Getting a late start I did not want to hold us up any more. So I took an idea suggested by chefdab. I think this can be a real fun one.

This month I will be starting us off with the theme "your best blunder". Be it stuck in the mud. That tree you wish you had done a better job of avoiding. Or the elusive shopping cart incident. This is the time to show off the embarrassing photos. Let’s see what you wish you had never done, or have let done to your baby.

Best of Luck to all:
Jason

p.s. All rules below! Post those pics!!!

p.s.s. This is the brand new year so all winners from last year are able to participate.

p.s.s.s. New tiebreaker procedure. Please read below.

The Rules

• Mid Atlantic members only!

• Only KJ`s allowed! - You must also be the owner of the KJ.

• No Links allowed - You must post a pic in the thread (instructions below).

• No computer enhancements - Pic must be unaltered.

• 1 monthly winner per year - You can only win one month per year. No exceptions.

• You can only vote once (even if it is your rig) and no family members are allowed to vote in addition. This is strictly a member rig vote (meaning you can’t get the wife/husband, kids, aunt/uncle, friends, etc. to vote. 1 vote per "rig family" allowed. Remember, honesty is the best policy!).

• If any entrant is found to have cheated in any way, they will be disqualified immediately.

• All "deadlines" are at midnight of that day.

• No more than 2 pics! If you are the winner, you must let us know which pic you want to be posted on the MA site!

Tiebreaker: I will not vote to ensure impartiality but instead use an electronic randomizer (online) to determine the winner in case of a tie.

The Deal

What you do is, if you are interested in entering, you post your pic in this ROTM thread. When posting your pic, please provide details of your KJ like vehicle year, modifications, etc. We will give everyone 2 weeks (the first 14 days of the month) to submit your entry. On the 15th, we will end submissions and make a poll in this forum. We then have the last 2 weeks (to the last day of the month) for everyone to vote. On the 1st of each month, the winner will be announced!

We also have a random winner each month for a MA keychain. Out of all entrants for the month, a random winner will be picked. The winner will be announced when the RotM winner is announced! Cool, huh?

If we decide to incorporate prizes in the future, past winners will be awarded those prizes as well. Current suggestions have been MA stickers, $25 Gift Certificates, and maybe more! So, good luck! Have fun and may the best rig win!

So one snowy weekend i took a YJ up to this place that my friends and I goto every now and then. We decided that I would go first since I've been here before. At the entrance to this "skate park" type place is a mud pit. It's not the deepest one there, but has some really tough spots. Well I misjudge the correct way through this frozen over mud pit. I'm still stock at this time with stock tires, but have been through this pit before, so I thought I would make it. I ended up sitting on the skids and axle .

So we hook up the strap and the YJ gives me some hard tugs.

So now I'm stuck and the guy with me can't get me pulled out. I call one of my friends to come get me out. 1hr later, he shows up with his locked and lifted Tacoma and gets me pulled out. The three of us then go wheelin' the rest of the day.

Awe come on guys. I know Guyute1210 can't be the only one. Where are the photos of the rocker panels caved in? The cracked tail lamps. Or stuck in the middle of ice cold, half frozen river with the interior flooded.

Since the contest started so late. I plan on keeping the submissions open until Friday the 18th. The clock is tick, tick, ticking away!

Ok, here are my contributions...This is a $300 set of photos...

It's a long story, my first time off-raoding, it was in un-familiar territory, but the guys i was with just kept saying i could have gone further, so i did, and this is what happened...Left front is in a good 20" of mud, the rest are only in about 4-8"

I think the reason this thread is so lacking is that people (especially men) aren't too keen on advertising their mistakes...
