The wife an I baught a tiny 10-acre parcel a land a few weeks ago and the house building project officially began!

We will be putting up a custom designed pre-fab home. Main floor will be 1800 sq ft., Livable attic space under the 12/12 roof will be approx 1000 more sq ft. Fully finished basement (Home theater and gaming area) would be 1800 sq ft if it coulnted.

We got our well digger
We got our septic installer
We got our foundation excavator

Currently, I spend just about every night up on the land chainsawing the poor trees that are in the way. Clearing a full 1 acre of trees sucks, but it's better than spending the $2500 that other folks wanted to do it for us.

We're hoping to be moved in by March. Then I can start wheeling agian.

here's a NASA picture of the land from a sat. I drew the property line onto it.

The 5 acres on the east is where the house will go, the 5 on the west (the narrow strip) was free with the other chunk and should make a nice hunting spot on my own property.

I'm heading up tonight to clear more trees.

I'll get a pic of the floorplan online when I get a chance to convert it from Punch! to a jpg.

Nice plans! I like the second floor master suite with it's own balcony! Cool idea! And the (jacuzzi?) tub in the dormer...NICE!

Now put in a fire pole that drops straight down from the Master BR into the pool/bar room in the basement and you're done! 8)
