We need you!

I have debated on this for a few days and talked to a few of you about this idea. I think this is a wonderful way to move the club forward. The process of officers is not justified in a club like ours. A treasurer is a pointless position for a club that doesn’t collect dues or have an account. Secretary, other than posting minutes of a meeting is not necessary either.

I’m setting up a Board of directors. This serves the needs of our club much better. We will have 7 chairmen based on regions of the club, three of them will go on to serve as director and Asst. directors. The chairmen will be responsible for local activities such as meet and greets, monthly rides or even picnics. The directors will be responsible for ROTM, moderation of the web site, minutes, settling problems etc.

So what does this mean for you? We need people who want to be part of this team and want to take an active role in this club. If you want to be chairman of your region please post up now! I’m holding open call for nominees until Friday Oct the 6th. This gives everyone two weeks. After this, elections will be held for the individual positions.

The specific chairs are: Maryland/DC, MD shore/Delaware, New Jersey, Eastern PA, Western PA, Virginia, and West Virginia.

A big thanks goes out to everone who has signed up so far.

There are still a lot of positions to be filled. So do not be bashful. If someone has already posted up in your region. Do not let that hold you back. Elections will be held after sign up is completed. Come on and volunteer.
