My son hasn't gotten his new 95 YJ out yet, and his is going back to school in Vermont in three weeks, after Camp Jeep, would any of you be interested in a ride at Rausch one weekend say the second week in August? He has a 2.5 in lift and MTR's never driven off road, except through a buddy's cow pasture. So I think green and blues will be the trails of the day. He has no skids either.

Let me know, I know of at three of us that will be going. Two of them will be off rode first timers. Yes my hair dresser (what little I have left) she has a brand new JK and wants to get it dirty, so she will be tagging along too.

I would like this ride to be Jeep 101 class, so all who don't normally go off rode are invited, to you all experienced types, it will be scenic ride.

From the LOST group:

1. Jeepin Al and Jim, TJ & YJ
2. KJRenny, KJ
3. W3CSX, JK
4. W(O)IIIIIII(O), LJ
5.Marcman1975, KJ
6. Chefdab, LJ a maybe
7. EngleCRD, KJ a maybe
8.

Al

Count me in Al! Just let me know what date. I'm riding the "Crick" (or creek for you who don't speak Western Maryland hick.) on the 18th with BMJA. Either 11 or the 12 will do.

05kjrenny,
Figure about a 1.5 to 2 hours north of 695.

BeepBeepJeepJeep,
It's just off I-81. (Exit 104 I think) about 45min north of Harrisburg. Or, 45min south of Hazelton. Here is there website. http://www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org/

Looks like it's about 2.5 hours from me. Which isn't too bad. If I can find the noise in my jeep before then I'd love to go. But when I do any kind of half serious off roading it sounds like i'm getting some noise in the front from my CVs... It'll /hopefully/ be fixed this weekend.

The sooner you set the date, the better chance I have of going.

So far we have a couple of the new guys from the North Jersey Jeep Club coming along also. It looks like we will have around 10 Jeeps all together. We will be taking both Jeeps, the 95 YJ and my Rubi. I am putting the CB in the YJ this weekend.

We will also have a couple Cherokees, a TJ or two and I may have a LWB JK tag along also. Most will be inexperienced. So green and blue 1's will be the trails of the day.

My son, Jim, has never driven off road, except for chasing down his buddy's cows. He admitted to me the other day that they had a "round-up" when I asked why the garage smelled like cow poop! (and why there was mud, grass and hay all over his Jeep).

Al

Time to meet?

All are invited, no matter what experience you have off-road.

If you can make it, figure on being at Rausch between 8:30 and 9:00. I just found out that Jim my son needs to go back to school on the 12th two weeks early. So we will need to leave the trails by 3:00, so we can get back to pack.

He has been assigned to whip the Rooks into shape, got to love Military school.

See you all in a week!

Al
