| Post subject: | Fun time up at Rausch |
Went up to Rausch Creek today. The first time I have ever been there and first time out in the new Liberty. Loads of fun. Did a little damage. My rear slid sideways off a rock. Broke a rear exaust hanger and smashed the muffler up bad. My impresion of the trip. Need to get a lift and tires NOW. I was planning do this any way. But, wanted to wait untill a proper spring lift was avalable for the CRD. Now the Daystar pucks look better and better. Decisions, decisions, decisions. (any opinions) Met few MA lost members up there. Great talking to you. Sorry we never to re-met up. Hope run was as much fun as mine. |

What an awesome time!! Got to meet Dave and Jason (? I hope that is your name. That is what I have been calling you) and of course saw Randy again. (Still hven;t seen his KJ, but I know his YJ when I see it!!) Randy and my brother won door prizes!! Yay!! Go guys!! Here are some pictures:
(This dude had seom problems. Engine temp shot up in the middle of a trail and had to be towed out. We were supposed to meet back up with Randy after he and this guy David did soem finagling to his exhaust, but it took so long(overheating) we didnt meet back up!) THis could be why:
THis is the only shot I have with Randy's YJ in it. Sad.

I went up on Saturday. Had a good time wheeling and did some damage myself-but it was fun. I rode with some Delaware Jeep Assoc guys who were very nice and helpful. I also met Sandie and saw what a real KJ should look like. I popped some of those plastic flare rivets in the front and crushed the passenger side rocker panel. Didnt look as bad when it was covered with mud, but its a nice dent along the bottom of both passenger side doors. The wife's taken away my wheeling priveliges until I get the rocker fixed, add the tank skid and the boulder bars. The money I didnt have yet for boulder bars just got allocated for the rocker panel repair. |

[quote="Steakgoddess"]What an awesome time!! Got to meet Dave and Jason (? I hope that is your name. That is what I have been calling you) /quote] Yep, Jason it is. Mike, I went with the stockers groop. Our course was like this: L3, A, F, B, G, up the pole line, Down 1b, 1, (I thought 1b an 1 where a lot of fun), back to B and over to E. When we got to tower road I split off and left. Some where in there we hit a couple of blue trails.(not sure which ones) We side lined the low clearance rigs and piled into the jeeps with a bit more room underneath. All and all a lot of fun. |

Rausch was a blast! I never knew that there were so many great trails in that park. It was great to wheel with Sandie and family, and the Maryland Creepers. If you want to see some great pics check out their site. I hope to see Dave and Jason again when we can wheel together. My exhaust from the cat forward was just hanging by the pulse air tubes and with the help of a rachet strap and some wire I got off the trail where I wired it up for the LOUD trip home. I tried to call on ch 30 but got no response. By tomorrow night the cat and the emissions system will be history. The last report I heard was around $6,000 was raised and will be sent to a 4X4 club in the Hurricane area for dispersement. Randy one KJ, one YJ |
