Okay guys, I have my Frankenlift and TJM bumper ready to install. I'm trying to get some shop space over at Tidewater Mack so we won't have to hide from the rain in Mike's garage again. It will probably be on Sat, Jan 31st, unless something untoward happens between now and then.

Are you going to have everything you need? Never heard of this shop that you are talking about, do you have an address?

I need to check the ships schedule, but will try to make it out.

I want a good look at that TJM bumper.

Well, I will have all the parts that need to be put on the truck and I will bring my tools, but other tools are always welcome and could easily make the job go quicker. I have a relatively limited set of hand tools and such. I'll try to find out what their workshop has and what, if anything, will be available to us.

Tidewater Mack is a Mack/Volvo dealership over in Chesapeake. You can see it from I64 between Battlefield Blvd and I464 on the south side of I64. My father-in-law works there.

Mike, glad to hear you can most likely make it. I'm going to try to track down Richard and see if he can make the trek too.

I have to postpone this install guys. Sorry. Something came up and my Sat is now taken. Hopefully I can get the shop on Feb 7th and do it, but I'll keep you posted.

Okie Dokie. I might be out of town on the 7th. If not, I'll be there.

So we can't see the bumper this weekend for the install lets see some pics of it.

Also are you going to put a winch on it?

I'm going to lay all the install parts out and take some picts, hopefully tomorrow or Sat. I'll post up what I take.

I will probably put a winch on it at some point, and I might weld on a grill guard of some type too. For that matter, I'll most likely paint it body-color at some point. But, for right now it will be stock (shape) and painted with some cheap rust-proof flat black paint.

I haven't done ANYTHING yet. Work is nuts, home is nuts, life is nuts. I'm going to try to make time this weekend to catalog everything though. No opportunities to install for a couple weeks though. I'm DYING here!

I just lifted my 05 liberty with the Frankenlift and wouldnt mind seeing photos of your Front axle shafts when you are done. How much does that front bumper you are putting on weigh?

Freakin' calendar is packed! It's driving me crazy! The next open space I see is the Friday before Easter. That might be doable.

Thanks for bringing this thread back into view. I meant to update it anyway, but kept losing time to do it.

For the install, I am trying to do it next weekend. I am actually off work Friday the 10th, so I'm trying to do the install that day. If anyone is available, let me know. I'm not sure at this point where it's going to happen, but I'm trying to do it at my buddy's house.

I'm going to PM you my wife's cell phone number jinstall. Try calling mine first, but use her # as a backup. Her old phone is on it's last legs, so I put her card into my phone. So I'm stuck with the old POS phone that decides when it wants to work.

Brady, if you get stumped/need a hand, give me a call and I will take a day trip.
