There are some trails in the George Washington National Forest near Harrisonburg, but I wouldn't go near them right now. Deer season just started and you'd p*** off the hunters, and may get shot at.

I did not know about the hunters, I was out there yesterday in the George Washington Forest on a dirt road. Thanks for the info!

Let em shoot...go straight to the ranger station. They do not own the trails so they can't act like that. Some of the trails up there are only open during hunting season. Wheel em and have fun!

If the Bigdogs or Hard Rock Crawlers are making out at Gore, Winchester VA you can possibly tag along. . . Or head down to NC and do some beach cruizing.

Thanks for the info! We were able to get out and explore the area, even in the rain. It was beautiful!

We came up through Meadows Knob on Union Springs Trail. On to Flagpole for lunch and then down Dunkle Hollow to 33. Great day! Check out my pics of the trip in the Pics section.
