I know there are a couple of us around VA Beach area. . . Anyone wanna try and set up a meet and greet, say around May 8th or 9th? Or possibly the 15th at the Suffolk Jeep Dealers Offroad Day? http://www.starrmotors.com/Off-Road-Day-2010/

I'll be the one to post good news here and say that i could make that. Would be nice to finally meet some people. Granted, my rig isn't a show-stopper, but still would be interesting. I'm all the way in Stafford though, so hoping more people wanna do this. :pepper:

I'm game for the May 8-9 idea. PM any certain details if there are any!

I am on 234 heading to Manassas but work at Belvoir. I do all my work at Quantico AHS. I will be there saturday installing rear brakes if they come in on time.

Finally more local people! Quantico AHS is that "rent-a-garage" sort of place isn't it? Please correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't been on base in forever. I work near the main gate in Triangle for the UMWA. As soon as I find a place I can go that won't rob me blind, my wallet will be getting much thinner thanks to the stuff I want to get done.

Yes and very clean. It is on base and it fills up fast. You can see photos of it in the CRD section where I posted about my lift I installed last weekend.

Yea I remember going there once to simply check it out like a year ago. I never did try it out though. Always thought I would get there and blank out on what I was doing, then lose the money I paid to rent it. :?

I'm no pro mechanic by any means, but learning to do simple tasks leads to much money saved, and that lift we always wanted.

5 hours cost me $30 last weekend. Installed lift, fixed tailpipe and replaced the CRD fuel filter all at my nice slow pace.

Hmm. Yep I think I can manage to give it another look. Now just need to find at least one other soul to assist and I'm set. Do you rent tools too or is everything pretty much there for the $30?

I do like the sound of that, and I still need to actually purchase all the things I need for it still. Only thing is that I'm hoping to get at least get it lifted and get better tires on it before winter. On my way to work I found out my KJ doesn't have ABS (no biggie), and that the stock tires stop in rain as if the road was a sheet of ice..

Well I know I will be down there for the 8-9th now since I booked a room for it. Any specifics in terms of places we would meet? I don't know the area at all so addresses would be fantastic. :seuss:

I'd be there, except I'm working our church yard sale on saturday, and Sunday is Mothers Day. Can't forget about Mom... or my son's Mom! Maybe another weekend...

Im in Gloucester Va about 1 hour away from Va Beach, I gotta work the 15th but will try to get off so I can go. It sounds like fun, and would be cool to meet some people. :D Right now my Liberty is sitting at home with no bumpers or fenders on it waiting for me to come home and repaint then, because yesterday I did a terrible paint job on them! :banghead: So I hope it will be fixed by then. If not I will just not put them on.

With the weekend fast approaching, I'm curious if anyone is still planning on showing up, an if so, where? I'll be staying at the Days Inn on the beach so if anyone wants to meet up there or elsewhere just gotta let me know. Making the drive early Saturday morning and leaving Sunday night sometime. :pepper: :pepper:
