Since this thread is so popular I figured the Mid-Atlantic section needed a randomness thread. Why not here?! The ride's over but we always went off topic anyway, lol.

Id like to say i would, but im in central PA, and VA is a hike for me. If my job wasn't so ridiculously busy right now i might make a weekend out of it, but as of now i don't even have that to spend. Maybe one day tho.

Sounds like a good start. Hopefully more people will chime in and be available. And you're not too far away from me so I wouldn't mind a short drive.

im up for anything really a good day for me would be june 6 on sunday. im not sure where to go yet. a buddy of mine said there were some nice trails in washington national forest in woodstock. theres a cool trail in shawneland about 30 minutes away from winchester but its not that long, intense but not that long. if you have any ideas throw them out there.

This would be my first outing on trails so you're the one with the knowledge of where to go, lol. June works since I'm still putting pieces together on my KJ.

the washington national forest seems to be a place to check out if we did get together im not sure how intense anything is there. so far im trying to get some other local guys together one with a lifted commander which is pretty awesome and another with a lifted cherokee. it would be cool to not be the only kj in the group or even VA haha. ive actually never seen a lifted liberty becides mine in person.

I've seen 3, not including my own, but those were at M&G's as well. I've heard that the Washington National Forest had some good trails to do, so that sounds like a good plan. I'll gladly come down for that and a chance to meet another lifted KJ owner.

Awesome. Now that we know the location we need a time. libertank, you said something about early June? And make sure to keep watching this colts_kj, things seem to be speeding up in terms of plans.

That would give me a few weeks to get skids on my KJ for the trip. Just ordered a hitch and I have front hooks to install, and new tires comming this weekend. Only thing holding me back is skids now.

i dont have skids and im not that worried about it. if anything a rear diff cover would be what to get i worry about pealing mine off everyday. what tires are you looking at getting ?

The tires are Sumitomo A/T's 245/70/16. Don't care to go larger yet since it's my DD and I don't want to throw stuff too out of wack. It's my first Jeep so little steps for now.

Post subject:  Re: Anyone free for a M&G?

atleast go 245/75/16 i have had no ill affects from lifting and my tires my gas milage is actually the same. rub a little in reverse but i dont mind mines a dd to

Post subject:  Re: Anyone free for a M&G?

I test fitted some 245/75's and they rubbed all over my front bumper. They probably work well with a Franky but I'm pretty sure I didn't get the same height with my lift. I may try to get a little more out of it with a small clevis lift but for now I can appreciate the larger footprint and spend money in other places. :goink:

Post subject:  Re: Anyone free for a M&G?

ahh well if im rubbing with a franky then nevermind. i wish i had money to put into other stuff but this jeep keeps burning a hole in my pocket i tell my self im done once i lifted and put tires on but i seem to just want more and more :?

Post subject:  Re: Anyone free for a M&G?

Haha I knew once I started putting money into it, I would have to keep going until I consider it "done." Needs a muffler redo, skids, and maybe knew wheels once I trash my stock ones. The interior needs a few comforts but nothing too drastic.
