That's where I assume we would meet since that's where we did on our last run. They sell the permits you need to ride. It's only $5. IIRC libertank is from Winchester.

Halfway I'd say. I'm not on much since most of those guys are wheeling, well, anything but KJ's. :? I try to look at it once in awhile to catch them doing a M&G. Nothing recently but we'll see.

I heard that Shoe Creek was kinda pale in comparison to most places, but I have heard of its existance. Peter's Mill also got the "lame" stamp but we had fun on our ride so I'm open to that possibility. Any experiences daspes?

Only two places I've been to on this side of the Mississippi are the Badlands, and Ocala NF... I've been in VA for about 10 days now...

I'd come down but I think I may be too busy since I have to do something for my dad for Father's Day. He won't be here on sunday so either friday or saturday I have to do something. Those plans will dictate if I come down or not. :juggle: I think the thread should still keep going though to see if we can get any other ideas for a meet/ride.

I would be intrested in Centralia PA just for the history and oddness of the place plus I always wanted to check it out. I have been to Rausch Creek once there are trails I took my stock Liberty on with Mt. Zion Off-Road. I will be up in that area the 3rd sunday in August.

Personally I would still need more people interested before I made a trip all the way up into PA. No offense but that's a long drive to only meet a couple people.[/quote]

NO offense taken.... I understand about the drive and there are not many active LOST members up my way. Many of the places in Virgina that you all go are likely farther than I want to drive too.

I leave for a 2 week work trip to Vegas on July 15 so that would give us a 2 week window for that. Do you happen to know the address (or something close) and things like permits needed? Also @ libertank, was this one of those "hard" trails?

No permits are required. Free trails. Look up Flag Pole Knob. That is what Union Springs runs up and down from. I don't have any addresses with me at the moment.

Shoe creek is a VERY short trail, and there is nothing else around to wheel (that I know of) when the trail is done.

From looking where it's at I'm very interested in a Union Springs ride. :JEEPIN: Judging from its location I'm sure others will agree too. Do you know of a good meeting spot around?

I usually meet up with people at the Sheetz on Rt. 33 West, in Harrisonburg. Exit 247B on 81 Northbound, coming from Richmond. There are a few petrol stations on the way to the trails that everyone can fill up at, as well as power washing stations for the trip home.

Is there much wheeling to be had in Centrailia? I'd be down; only about a 3 Hrs.

I know people have wheeled there, but I don't know where they do. Shamokin isn't much further than Centrailia. We go up to bear valley. Rausch would be closer for the VA folks I would think.

I'll try to make it out to whatever is decided for the M&G, but if any of the local guys from PA/DE want to make a smaller side trip to Centralia,PA for an afternoon, etc... shoot me a PM.

If we can get a few more people to like this idea then I'm down for it. As for the power washing stations, you got to wear that mud for at least 2 days. :pepper: :pepper:
