I'm not going up to Green Ridge, its too far. Does anyone know what trails are open around Harrisonburg? As an alternative we could go to Shoe Creek or Big Levels.

Why do you say Shoe Creek is boring? It may not be that challenging, but its a nice ride, and the scenery from the top of the falls is great. It would be nice to go somewhere different, though. Keep in mind that Virginia Tech has a home game that weekend, and traffic on I-81 and 460 Saturday will be a bear.

It's one trail up and down. I agree that the scenery is great, but if you have never seen Potts Mountain, well thats just something you have to experience. I did not know that Tech is having a game that weekend. All my friends have graduated that area so I don't know what the schedule is like.

Definitely sounds like an option. What are the trails like there?
Could we could go up Friday night, get an early start Saturday morning, and maybe stay Saturday night?

If a bone stock 2dr Rubicon (without running lockers) can make it through the trail, I see no problem with lifted KJ's making it. I only ran one trail while up there last summer, and have no idea what the rest are like. I do know its alot like GWNF in that parts of it get VERY overgrown. Pinstriping is almost guaranteed. Anyone in Southern VA want to go check it out real fast? As far as sleeping/camping accommodations, I have no idea what they are like in that area.

Dictum will eat a KJ but Flagpole is fine. I've been up there a couple times. Most of the other trails are closed now.

When I was there last year (November) it was the worst I had ever seen it. My TJ on 35's was ok, but my buddy in her almost stock JK was scraping on EVERYTHING!

I just wanted to check in as a new KK owner in Leesburg, I would be up for some trail time come spring... but right now Im stock so anything more than a drive through a field will tear up the jeep and even with the lift my skills end with ripping up the logging roads up in NH so I would want to start small on the trail and build my skills.

Anyone in the area up for a little lift party??? Im only going for the RK 3.5 (with the obvious upgrade to the bolts) Ill supply the beer. while I know in a year I will go with al's coilovers I figure I will do it in stages as money is available and then there is more opertunity for lift work and beer drinking
