Just wondering if anyone is producing decals for Mid-Atlantic LOST? I particularly like the one I see on a few posts here with the Liberty grille with the moutains above and LOST KJ below. The back of my Rene would sure look nice with one of those one there. This is the logo I'm talking about. Thanks.

Sore subject huh :D
But seriously, that is a terrific looking logo! Can't we get someone to produce a white, vinyl version of it as a decal. Seems like the guy over on the main page does lots of these. Being a relative newbie, I don't know all the history of it, but I could look into getting them produced if you want. Shouldn't be too expensive.

I'm watching and waiting. I'm ready to produce something for you guys whenever you get it ironed out. The above design is mine, but I am not positive if it has been accepted by everyone in charge.

Well first of all ... excellent design. Very sharp, clean looking.

How bout producing a white vinyl (no background) about 3-4 inches tall. Is that doable??? If so, roughly how much would it cost?

All in favor!?!?!?

Interesting. Very interesting.

We voted once before, decided to keep the old design.
Then Chris posts the new design for everyone to see. I ask, Hey thought we voted?
I log back in, post is gone.
Little time passes...
Big log BASHING post happens, then it gets locked
Evidently deleted because I don't see it? I might just be missing it.

So what is the REAL DEAL going on here?
The higher ups say we are voting on design and then go get pixel to do something else up and that is it? I think we deserve some sort of response without having our heads taken off because we are asking about it.

I just went over to the KJ Country web site and ordered one of theirs.

My opinion is that I have no opinion as to which sticker (or non-sticker)MALOST may or may not be having made,, or not made,, as the case may be,,,,,,,,,,,,

After the vote was taken, there were some people who still didn't like the way it turned out. After some further discussion, including some people who wanted to split our chapter up, the person who designed the winning logo said they didn't really care if it was used or not. It was believed that if an impartial third party was brought in to the design process, it would save a lot of the problems that were going on at the time. And now that we have new officers, this should be one of the first things they address.

I was trying to generalize things hoping not to offend anyone or stir up old issues and still get the point across. Perhaps I should have said: "After the vote was taken, there were some people who still didn't like the way the voting and subsequent discussion turned out."

Well, as a newbie, I qualify as an impartial third party. Let's just go with this design and get some decals printed up. Having been in other clubs I know how this kind of stuff can wind up splitting clubs apart. So as an impartial third party, my choice is this logo. It's a good looking logo, it's simple and straight forward. Would look nice on back windows. Let's get pixeldzn to print em up and let's get it done! :)

We are not trying to keep anyone in the dark on this. And this is the last time I will respond to a posting about the logo. We do have a plan to have the logo that pixel made up. They are going to be ordered and this is a subject sore or not that is on the list for the officer meeting. There are going to be some changes in the clubs structure some people will like it and others will not. But you cannot please everyone all the time and I for one am not going to lose anymore hair trying to. MARCH will bring all the new changes and the logo. I am sorry that some people feel the way they do about the old STICKER (because that was what it was) but it cost more to produce and it does not last as long as a vinyl. The person who made this design was not a part of this club and did not have any inside influence. This is a non-partial design made by a professional and it is what we plan to adopt until someone else puts in the time and can present us with another design. I realize that it takes members to make a club. I was an active member before I became an officer and I still remain as active or more active than some of the other members. This is why I was tasked with making the sticker that was voted upon. After researching I found that the sticker would cost more so I had pixel come up with a vinyl design (I thought people would be happy with the thought of saving money). I just went through and still am going through a rough time, those who are my friends here know this. I would have already ordered some but I got side-tracked. The simple truth is if you don't like what has been designed then go ahead and find another vinyl design and present it to us. I will applaud anyone who will take the time to try and help make this a better organization. So, the time that has been spint ranting on this could have been time you spent making phone calls or e-mailing someone to come up with a design. This is the last I will say about this until after March. If this thread gets out of hand I will lock it or delete it depending on how I feel to moderate it. Keep it clean NO BASHING and if you have an idea then present it.

Respectfully,

Chris Sine, Mid-Atlantic V.P. & moderater

I am going to be talking with Al today and will be ordering decals by the end of the month. They should be on sale by the first of next month. Yes this is going to get taken care of because I want one too.
