Well we are back from a full day of trails and recovery. The morning started out meeting Jason (W3CSX) at the sheets on 33. We got our supplies while we waited for Walt to show up. Since we had such a small group I told Walt just to take us around and lets have some fun. Walt took us to somewhere up on the mountain and did some hill climbing. We at a couple of scenic places to take in the view. After that we headed off of the mountain and went on towards lost mirrors and sawmill trail. This is where it started to get interresting. The terrain was muddy and nasty and a load of fun. I was able to test out the new Jeep and then some. Towards the end of the trail we rode up on some guys that were playing in the mud. Walt decided to takel a lage hole and when he drove in he stuck the nose of his Disco straight into the mud. This did not stop him any he just let it eat. He finally made it in but did not drive it out. After 2 hours of water half way to our waist 2 recovery straps and a come-along we got him out and headd off the trail. We finished up the day with Jeep talk and burgers at O'Charlies.

Thanks Jason and Walt for the perfect day of riding through the forrest. And if I left something out feel free to add it in.

It just wasn't in the cards this year. I've got to take off Friday to make it happen and Sandy and I both had to work. It's the only time I get to wheel the Libby any more. I did run the YJ up to Rausch on Sat. and ran all Blacks with a group from Delaware4X4 and DeJa. The 34-10.5- 15 Super Swamper TSL's "Rock". Hope to wheel with you guys again soon.

Randy

There were a couple of issues with cameras so there were no pictures taken by us. There plenty taken by the guys at the mud hole where Walt got stuck.

Sounds about right. It should be noted: Two straps and a come-along was the carnage on this recovery. It was more like three straps, one wire rope, one logging chain, two hi-lifts, one LJ-Rubicon, one "Heavy Chevy" and let’s not forget the CRD that did the final pull.

I just got home. It was a great ride. I have to thank Chris and Walt for showing me around. Hopefully we can do it again. Lets plan for better weather next time. Chris, have you heard from Walt? Any problems with his rig after the pull? They should have some great shots of the day. If he can't post them on here. Ask him to e-mail them to me and I can put them up on the board.

Jason

Hey what do you know. I didn't loose my picks afterall. My camera just wouldn't play them back. Wish I knew this sooner I would have taken more.

First we see the crowd l-r Walt / '00 Discovery; Chris / '06 LJ; and Jason / '05 KJ CRD.

Second and Third Chris plays in the mud with the newbe.

Now we have the only liberty to attend the L.O.S.T Spring Fling.

A little romp thru the woods.

And a last view of the group at lunch.

I would have taken more photos but thought the camera wasn't recording what I was shooting  oh'well.
