Anyone care to make a suggestion as to what type of CB might be best,, or cheapest?

I have a Radio Shack cb. $80 and has 7 weather and 40 regular stations. Also a plus is the digital compass that is built in. Here is a link to the site.

Any will do. The Uniden small units are good and decently priced. The Cobra WSXT is another good choice (and it is all hidden since the main unit is in the handheld).

Sign me and 3 up for this trip. I'm new to this picnic stuff, but I'll bring a salad & dressing. How much to bring is the main issue. I'll meet you at H'burg Sheetz.

Jen, I highly doubt it.

Jack, sorry I overlooked your post. Your more than welcome to join us, as everyone else that reads this is, so come and have some fun. What food? Hmmm, just look at what people are bringing and bring something we havent gotten to yet and post to let us know. :)

I think everyone should figure on enough food or what not for about 12-15 people at this point. That's assuming everyone coming bringing one guest. If anyone wants to correct me on this ,feel free. Who's meeting at the Mickey D's? I think it will be me, Mike, and Grant so far. Also, how many are going to stick around for a second day on Sunday? I would like to but not sure about finances right now as far as a hotel stay goes. And I don't think my wife would like "roughing it".

Below is what I gathered so far. We need to get some confirmations of what those that havent mentioned what they are bringing for those that are going to. Also, does anyone have any small fold tables or even a "overhead" tent in case it rains?

To everyone else out there, if you`d like to join us, please feel free to. We`d love to meet ya...and we don`t bite! We can be a pretty affable group...well, sometimes... No, really, we just love to have a good time. Come on and join us!

Mike

p.s. If I missed something or made a mistake, lmk and I`ll amend it. ;)

p.s.s. # of people in parenthesis.

WVjeepcsine: (2) Grill
speleorelic: (2) Burgers/Buns
ltwgs: (2) Beverages/Cups/Ice
Talon: (2) Cold Salad/Brownies
chefdab: (2) Chips/Condiments/Plates/Silverware
uvalax236: (1 or 2)
Jeepin Al: (1 or 2)
jeepgirl: (2) Macaroni Salad/cookies
scouter: (2)
JacksJeep: (1) Fresh Fruit
acbafam: (2)

Micky Dee`s is off of Exit 47A on Route 66 (Sudley Rd. Manassas). Get off the exit and go 2 lights down and take a left (It`s right behind a gas station).

Sheetz is off of exit 147 (Rt. 33 North?) on I81. Just get off the exit, drive about 1/2 mile and you`ll see it on your right.

I got your "pickles, lettuce, mayo, onion on a sesamee seed bun" Oh wait, George has the buns. :-)r I amend my count to about 20 people thus far. And remember, you can always take the leftovers home and have em for dinner.
