hey guys, i just saw this post. Haven't been on the board in a while, been super busy. I've been waiting to get my renny out on a trail, but she's bone stock and pretty much won't go alone. So let me know if anything is goin on... Are there ever any meets or anything around the GTA??

Well it appears its you, me, and sometimes Shadow (waiting to take delivery of his KJ), the other two seem to come and go, here for awhile, then they disappear, probably busy?

Anyway, I've been trying to organize a run, but generally speaking, this section is quite dead.

Heres whats happening otherwise.....a KJ club is surfacing in the Milton area (you don't have to live in Milton to be in it, annnnnd you can be a part of as many clubs as you want). The club name is "KJ Expeditionary Group" and is open strictly to KJ owners.....sorry, no redneck pickups and mud boggers.....stock KJs are fine because although this group will be doing local weekend runs and that kind of thing, they will also be running "Expeditionary" runs. Things like cross country charity runs, exploration runs, geocaching, local events and the like...however that being said, a team isn't even in place to help organize that kind of thing yet, or a website, or anything.....apparently getting a website up is expensive and complicated??

Why strictly KJs? Although the KJ is part of a bigger family, it is considered unique. Expeditionary runs would require cargo space, also, when doing these runs sponsors like the "real estate" on a KJ for advertising...not to mention it just looks really cool when a group of KJs are running together, among other reasons

Anyway, thats the buzz.

Sometimes? Sometimes?!?! :)

So today is "the day"! Supposedly... I'll believe it when I see it.

Snow Blower : I have the same situation... stock stock stock KJ Renny that I want to get on some trails.. I don't need mud up to the doors but I definitely want to have some fun!!!
That is why I paid the extra $$$ for the Skid Plate Group right...? heh heh

zeero : I love the idea of the all-KJ club... Expeditionary runs huh? Keep me in the loop with any information!
Annnnnd lets make some plans for some wheelin soon! :P

Today is the day...awesome!! Is that a pic of it at the lot?? Sneakin around at night huh??

Looks like the three of us have Dark Khaki Rennys?! Kinda cool!

Well as far as the group is concerned, I shouldn't use LOSTKJs as my base of comms for it, its not fair to them....however, I need help in getting this thing off the ground. Advertising, (flyers, word of mouth, stickers, WEBSITE forum..very important) and then when all is up and running, getting some things rolling, runs, and all that stuff. You don't need "Jeep" experience, just a very Public Relations type imagination. Things like collecting sponsor and media attention for cross country runs...(afterall, whose got that kind of cash?? Yep you guessed it...sponsorships)

Anyway...those who are interested in helping out...(shadow I like your enthusiasm  ) it'd be kinda cool to have a couple of 2006 Kahki Rennys leading the way to! 8) email me at KJEXPGROUP@hotmail.com

you need to approach a big jeep dealer in the area... tell them that you plan on holding events, which would offer them great niche market exposure. Or even get them to hold an event at their dealer ship, like a BBQ type thing. Just keep in mind that when you are talking with dealers, they are only interested in their own gain...

Author:  zeero [ Mon May 08, 2006 9:50 pm ]
Post subject:

Oh yeah they are fully interested in their own gain...but with that I completely agree...approaching these people is an excellent step in the right direction. Feel free to email me at KJEXPGROUP@hotmail.com if you have any other ideas.

I will be making an official post soon on the opening of this group, on here and other forums.

Like I said though, its all really preliminary, and could use the assistance of anyone interested in helping and wanting to be a part of it.

Shadow: Renny?? Get it??? Whats happening??

Are we ready to wheeling yet?? I found a cool spot in Milton and one in Kitchener today....itching to try em out!
