Not to beat a dead horse. But is this mod needed for an 05 gasser? I will be doing the ironman lift.

Looks pretty stout. Did you weld the brackets?

If I may add in my .02. Looking at the pics, and I may be wrong, could you not run some threaded rod through the middle of your assembly and use various jam nuts in key positions to add rigidity/clamping force to your bracket?

I will try to draw a pic for you later.

I think you would need three washers/two nuts and one nylock nut.

Dude, I have had my lift on for 8 months already and didn't know this. I better check out my brake lines. I have a 2007 with the daystar 2.5. I was just about to add longer shocks too. Thanks for the write up. Probably saved my life. :pepper:
