I was surprised to see no discussion on the Rough Country 1.5" spacers. Several people run the Spidertrax 1.25". This achieves the golden 4" BS standard. I am hoping to be able to run the light stock wheels, have 4" BS, run my 245/70's or 235/75's and maybe squeeze my chains in there without ripping the plastic apart. No clevis or top-plate on my OME lift.

Thoughts, comments?

Most people run spidertrax due to long time great reviews and they work great
Not many run spacers to begin with and like mentioned most run spidertrax
Never seen anything made by Rough Country I'd run

Ok, thanks Tom. I was surprised when I started looking for a set that there are several manufacturers, and they all seem to use the same grade of aluminum. But, they don't list what grade steel they are using for the studs :grim: I'll play it safe and use one of the better brands, and they come anodized anyhow, unlike the cheap ones. Spidertrax also sells the 1.5", so I guess I'll try that. Too bad they don't make a solid 16x7 4" BS aluminum wheel!
Anyone know if the "wheel concentric" spacers will fit our factory wheels?

I have the 1.25" spidertrax spacers with the centering lip, and they fit the stock alloys.

Thanks man, I am almost ready to put in an order for a 1.5" set. I look forward to a more stable ride.

I am running Spidertrax 1.25" spacers with 245/70 and 3" of lift. I get rubbing on the plastic in reverse at full stop. Oh and I am running the stock steel 16 x 7 rims.

Thanks for the response. Would 1.5" spacers make your rubbing worse, or better? Inside or outside rub?

I had (pre-moabs) 1.25" rugged ridge spacers (for sale btw) and i had slight rubbing in reverse, full lock, on the stock wheels. I only ran thme for like 1000 miles but that was the only place i noticed. I did notice immediately the jeep felt much more stable. Kinda wonder why jeep didnt make the stance that way from the get go... Oh well. But to answer your questions, outside rub gets worse the further out. So your 1.5" would make it worse. But as tommudd would say every jeeps different, depends how much your suspension is worn and sagged.

Thanks for another report!
hmm, I replaced every piece of rubber in the suspension, so where does that leave me? :dizzy:

I have the spidertrax 1.25" spacers with 235/70 tires on stock wheels, OME lift, JBA UCAs, and problem-solver LBJs. I get slight rubbing on the front air dam at full lock in reverse. It's almost gone now. It just wore off a bit on the inside edge of the air dam. The wear didn't even go all the way through. This was also with brand new tires, so they are wearing down as well (about 10K now on a 50K tire).
