Anyone got any pic's of a KJ with 31x10.50x15's? I'm looking at a set of 15" steel wheels I'd like to run with that size tire.

Little more info from you would be nice, like how much lift you currently have to see if they will even fit
then what wheels are you going to be running

Do you have or are you going to 4.10 gearing?

Not necessary. I was a proud owner of a 4-cylinder Tacoma with 37 inch tires for years. It was a dog and I was okay with that

I've owned all kinds of Trucks, including 7 Jeeps. My 2002 Tacoma was a dog and even more so with 37's and a automatic transmission! Regearing is not necessary to run 31's on a KJ, plain and simple

Is this your first KJ?
If so then how do you know
Sure you can run anything with larger tires and make it work somewhat. But to have it work well like it should then regearing helps
Been building Jeeps other 4x4s since 72 and while I drove some for a while with larger tires and not regeared
when I finally did was so much better and overall driveability was as well
I'm running 31s on my 03 , and will be regearing due to not liking it shifting so much going down the road
plus pulling trailers will be much better as well

Just trying to help but.........................

Yes I understand. I know that running 31's without regearing is not ideal. I am simply saying it is not required. 31's are not that big. I personally don't mind losing a little acceleration. The Liberty, to me, is plenty powerful.

Do you have an auto or manual in the Jeep? I've heard that the stock auto doesn't play well with larger tires and stock gearing (to a point). The only way I've gotten away with 265/75R16's with the stock gears in mine is I have the 6-speed. Works great on the road since 1st gear is pretty short, and it's a close-ratio single overdrive box, 5th gear is 1:1. Off-road however I find low range is necessary more often than when I had 245/75R16's on it. Still works fine for what I do, but even so I do plan to re-gear eventually.
