The Abs and break lights pop up everytime I go on a steep slope and then after some time, they go away.

Mine started randomly locking the wheels and turning on the dash lights when the sunroof drains turned my carpets into an aquarium during a deluge.
It went on/off/on/off/on for days at random intervals lighting up the BAS/ESP/EEPS/TILT warnings just to see if I was paying attention.
It persisted for days while the carpet was drying in the garage, and the jeep interior had reached maximum 'parch'.
I took a chance after reading about it here and ordered the 2 rear sensors and wire/splice/sockets (just in case) from NAPA for next morning pickup.
It cost me about $30 and 45 minutes to pull each rear wheel, swap the ABS sensors for NAPA parts and torque the lugs to spec.
The hardest part was getting these old bones down low enough to place/retrieve the jackstands.

THAT particular issue has been trouble free since.
