Anybody running this set up? I plan to give it a try because after a few thousand miles my lift has sagged like a mofo in the front. The front sits about 1" lower than the rear and i can't stand how it looks. My alignment is now out and is shredding my front tires. Luckily i got the lifetime alignment from firestone. Anyway i plan to ditch the clevis (for now) and install these poly spacers. I will then add the clevis if needed until i get my desired height. Question is has anybody been able to compress the rusty's springs enough to get these spacers installed?

you cant install the poly spacers with the rustys front.

i installed an arb, and called rustys to ask what they recommend to bring up the sagging, and was told the poly spacers would work.

no way. you would need the upper strut plate that they sell or heavy duty spring replacement, but the poly spacer is not the way to go.

i tried to put the poly spacer in the strut assembly. if i would have kept it, the spacer would have had the spring so compressed within the assembly, it would have blown the front shock out possibly, but the ride would have been horrible due to the front springs being compressed 75% with suspension sitting flat on the ground.

i replaced my rustys front springs with ome hd's a while back.

Maybe a set of OME Heavy Duty CRD Springs and the spacer would work.

Everyone who buys Rustys needs to realize that in a matter of time they will sag . They are not rated as high as OMEs and will not handle the weight etc. Yes they are cheaper than OMEs/Frankenlift and there is a reason for that! Some dont have a problem, but if you do bite the bullettt and but OMEs
enough said I will be quiet now

i tried that as well. the ome springs are the same height as the rustys soft springs, so you'll have the same issue, only the ride would be harsher since the springs are heavier.

ditto on what tom said. if i knew i would be putting an arb on when i bought the lift, i would have went with the ome's from the start.

you cant use the poly spacer with a 2.5" lift spring. the only way you can use the poly spacer is with the factory front spring / shock set up...

Great so now i have to ditch this rusty's kit and and buy the frankenlift? According to all j's website they dont offer their components separate anymore? I would rather keep my OME shocks and struts from the rusty's kit and just replace the springs and spacers myself.

yep, just order the ome hd's from all j's.
rustys kit already comes with the ome front shocks, so swapping the springs out is the best bet.

do you have a front bumper ? i didnt get any sagging until i put the arb on.
before that, it stayed true at 2.5"...

Nope no bumper on the front (just factory).

Is that all i need just the springs? I thought they were only 1.5" or are they 2.5".

Im not spending $504 for the front frankenlift when i already got the ome front struts. If i'm going to spend that kind of money i may as well buy the whole lift but i hate to because i already have the ome shocks and struts. So which poly parts does all j's use in their frankenlift? Are they custom or daystar parts? I know they use the daystar upper strut plates and ome hd springs, but which spacer do they use between the strut and the spring?

OR

With my current sagging rusty's lift i just need an extra 1" in the l/f and an extra 1/2" in the r/f. Currently it sits crooked and is driving me insane. I can achieve the extra 1/2" in the r/f with rusty's strut plates. But will still be 1/2" short on the l/f. I guess i could always add another 2 condiut nuts to the l/f to make up the 1/2 in?

Any thoughts? I appreciated everyones input on this. This site is awesome!!!!!

i would get the ome hd springs and change em out from the rustys.
thats all you'll need to do.

they springs are the same height. i put them side by side when i changed em out thinking they were 1.5" springs and i would NEED the poly spacer.

come to find out the springs are both 2.5" and you dont need the poly spacer.

i believe the hd's from all j were $156 shipped.

ok so i'll still net 2.5" with these springs just like the rusty's lift when it was first installed. Are you running a clevis, upper strut plate, or rear isolators in addition to the ome springs. I want as much lift as possible. According to all j's site i need a frankenlift to get the 2.5", springs alone wont do it?

with those springs you'll get the 2.5" like it was originally.

i also run 4 conduit washers on each side and three spring pads on each side.

here's a few pics of the set up, with 265/75 tires

That looks great!! Looks like it sits level instead of the Joe Dirt dragster look i have now. Do you have ome springs in the rear also or still running the rusty's? Also that's 3 total spring pads on each side in the rear correct, 2 extra plus the one factory. It now appears i can fix this cheap.

still running rusty's springs in the rear. havent had any issues with those. seem to be as good as the day they were installed...

correct, on the spring pads. three total on each side. the original that came with, and two additional that we installed with the lift...

I have the Rusty's lift with one strut plate in the front and one extra pad in the rear. I Run two sets of tires. The smaller being BFG AT KOs 245/75/16 and the bigger being 265/75/16 Both do well with my lift...the 265s do rub when turning though. the combo does work good but is a little weak when the Jeep is loaded down.

Does anybody know the rates of the Rusty's springs? I was going to email them, but they only have a phone number. I hate calling people.
