I am looking for a lift for my 06 Liberty...does anyone know anything about the 3inch Billet lift? If so I am trying to find out the pros and cons of it. I would appreciate any help... I am new to the Liberty world.
Thanks

I love my Frankenlift, worth every penny! The billet lift looks a little expensive for what it is. I think it is a basic full puc lift mentioned in the
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=165
It just goes on the tops of your struts and pushes your entire suspension down. Some people don't like the ride, some people haven't noticed a difference.

Would a full puc lift be hard on the rest of the suspension?

Billet lift is junk. Search around on the various Jeep forums and you will see it is the laughing stock of the Jeep world.

I run The billet lift, No Problems here ......Each owner has thier preferance. Others tend to BASH the other lifts.......My two cents...."Don't knock it until you try it!" Check my web site for Pics and info.

afornal,

How long have you had that lift on? Any problems with CV or balljoints? I don't see why it would be any different than any other puck lift it looks pretty much the same. I was just wandering how it is working for you. Don't really want to spend 800 bucks on a lift, but want to fit a descent size tire.

Looks like a pretty standard puck lift only using alm. instead of poly.

Is poly easier on everything else?

the poly spacer is softer. Metal on metal is never good. Do you want to trust your safety to a no-name company? I don't. I would rather spend the extra money and get a name brand product. this is your safety and probably one of the most expensive things you own. Are you prepared to risk that on a no-name product? Is your limited a CRD or 3.7 V6? If it is a CRD your lift options are a little more limited and you will need a puc lift. I would suggest the Daystar if you have a CRD or are on a budget. Otherwise look to the Frankenlift.

Where is the cheapest place I can get a Daystar lift? I have heard really good things about them.

AllJ's is $249 I believe, you may be able to get cheaper through 4wd magazine ads.

One more question for anyone...if I were to get a lift and put some 31 or 32 in tires on the kj, how does it effect the milage?

that all depends on the tire, the more aggressive the tread-the worse it is, my 30's (measure to 30.5 inches so they are actually a 31 inch tire) are all terrains and I get about the same mileage as stock

I figured it would be about the same, just wanted to ask around, so thanks. Hey just for more insight, why would the billetlift be unsafe because it is metal on metal. I have seen alot of lifts that are metal on metal and they work fine. Just curious.

I would say it is in your BEST intrest to go directly to the manufacture of the lifts your reviewing to get thier answers. Others here will boast some lifts and "BASH" others. Its your choice, and your decision, your jeep. Other lifts are used more then others, and some are better then others. Weigh all your options, and get that KJ Up!

Heres a Quote I recieved recently directly from the staff at http://www.billetlift.com

We have yet to have anyone that purchased one of our Liberty Lifts advise they do not like it. Since we were approved for our US Patent on this item over a year ago we have sold over 1,000 of them with great results. We now have Jeep dealers installing them on new vehicles. Everyone that has something bad to say has not purchased one.

Good Luck in your decision making!
