seperating the door at the sill height and welding the top section to the jeep. using this design i can see all structure power hinges and latches being retained. just need to create a snap in cloth window holder

Im glad people still posted on this while i was away... the doors one are in fact still coming off but since this was all said and done times have changed alot. and that girl left my booty not long after that haha

Not true at all! Please direct me to the section of the O.R.C. that states that a doorless vehicle is illegal in Ohio. Even if it is true someplaces, it could and probably does varies state to state but it is not illegal in Ohio not to have doors. In fact, even a windshield is not required if you wear eye protection like a motorcyclist is required to do.

Having had several very spartan CJ's with removable doors, I do not understand the allure of not having doors on a vehicle with a full interior, true, but to each his own on that.

Actually, it may not be illegal per se to have no doors on the road, but they may be necessary to pass a vehicle safety inspection. You might want to drop by a state police office and ask.

Even on an Air Force base it is okay to not have doors....at least on a Wrangler. The Libby just looks terrible without doors. Tube doors that can cover the ugly framing would be good. Just my opinion...but to each his/her own.
