Its either one way or the other, I own my own business and have to keep over a million dollars of liability insurance etc going all the time. And I don't design anything on that side of my work. Thats just in case I would say or type something the wrong way.
Have someone get hurt or killed and come back even if you did say for off road use only ...................... :dead:

That's the shirty part.

I got enough know how and creative aptitude locked up in this melon of mine, its scary.

I want to give to the kj market. It would be super cool to make a dime on the way (to fund future research), but it's like everyone keeps saying, just because the owner operator agrees not to sue, doesn't mean the insurance company/spouse will.

I've pounded the shaft out of my latest revision and still can't break it.

I want a part time job as a developer with an offroad company, preferably IRO. But, who knows. Lol

Absolutely love this! I asked several years ago about the possibility of using the IRO WJ arm. I got one reply from someone who thought about using the WJ arm, called IRO, got the measurements, and then decided to go a different direction...I've had the page from IRO's website, with the WJ arm, saved on my computer for quite some time. I've spent a lot time under my Liberty , looking at the diff to ball joint bracket, while thinking "there has to be a way.." Great work, way to think "outside the box".

Why thank you!

It's been some time since I've been in communication with IRO. I have been however puttin miles on my bracket.

IRO has the latest version of the dxf file so my suggestion would be to start burning out the ringer on their telephones over this. Oh and don't forget to give me a shout out!!

I've got some pretty sexy ideas in store for the kj. But there's always the liability (of the welding) card that scares the bejesus outta me.

IRO makes some very beefy stuff, and I am hoping they will add this bracket to their arsenal.

Oh and don't forget boys and girls.. It's now been proven that one can swap a kj 8.25 to the wj rear. (Wheel adapters not included) lol

Your sure? The lower arm spacing on the axle is wider, and isnt the WJ a wider axle also? I had sworn i had a d44 out of a WJ that wouldnt fit the KJ. But thats a topic i dont wanna get into

Aren't WKs about 63.5 ? JKs are about an inch wider than them
ZJs/ TJs/XJs/ YJs are about 59
Of course been up for 21 hours and my brain may be off a smidgen ....................

I still dont know why you would want to go from a KJ 8.25 to a WJ 8.25.

Boys! Lol

The wj comes with two weak axles.. The d35 and the dana44a (both rear)

Using iro's rear upper a arm and my bracket you can swap a stout kj 8.25 into a wj, provided you use wheel spacers. How do I know this?? I'm running wj rear lcas :)

You'll need 5x4.5 to 5 x5.5 adapters tho.. But.. That makes for a bolt on axle swap for wj guys :)

Just because you are running the LCAs does not make it work though

If thats all your basing it off of, then a TJ d44 axle will fit in a KJ....how do i know this?? Im running TJ lower control arms.

Yes the arms may fit, but the bracket spacing is different. And the speedo sensor, and the emergency brake cables. So you would need to custom fab brackets and weld them on. At that point, it dosent fit, your making it fit.

Hopefully you can prove me wrong, but when we tried to swap a 8.25 into a WJ last year, it wouldnt bolt up. We then decided to go with d44s, becuase the WJ has been totalled and just sitting there. Id love to have that d44 (a real d44) in my KJ.

BUT then( if they are in fact, like you think they are) the exact same width you are now adding 3 inches with the spacers so then the rear wheels will be off by 1.5 inches per side
So not really a good resolve to a problem that they may have
