Hey, just noticed this post. Sorry to hear about the leaks. I have had a couple others brought to my attention some time ago, and thought that was the end of it, but apparently not. Seems all the issues were from that first big batch I ordered up. Dan said he had a dirtbag working at the time of production for that batch. I don't think I have had any complaints since that first batch, so it quite possibly could have been that one guy that welded up most or all of that batch. The covers could have been a great item, especially for the price, but this goes to show why I have completely dropped the company. Even with as many covers as I have sold to you guys, the amount I have spent in labor (cleaning them up when they arrive at my shop, making the keys for the fill plugs), sandblasting this last batch, purchasing the correct hardware for this last batch even though the price I still had to pay reflected I got the correct hardware, and return shipping fees for bad product from customer and for replacement to customer, I am still out over $120 from my own pocket (not counting any labor time), just to sell these. Doesn't make sense to loose money selling someone else's product, so I dropped them.
I'll call that guy up tomorrow and jump his butt...again, have him send me a new cover, I will reinspect it, and send it to you Priority Mail. If you can tolerate the slow leak for a few weeks, add fluid as needed, when the new cover arrives, then swap them out, and send back the jacked up cover. When I send out the new cover, I will include funds for return shipping on the jacked up cover, as well as whatever amount you need for 2 quarts of whatever fluid you are using, and more money for the cost of the JB Weld as well. You paid for a cover that I endorsed as being a quality cover. You got a piece of garbage. You should not have had to spend another dime over what you already paid.
If anyone else that hasn't contacted me yet about any problems with their cover, please do so. I know most of the problems have come from that first batch of covers, which I believer was around October or November, but it doesn't really matter, if anyone has any problems at all with these covers, contact me immediately.
Again, I apologize for the problems anyone is having with their covers, and they will be addressed ASAP. As mentioned, I do not make these covers, but I still sold them with my personal stamp of approval, so I take personal responsibility for any quality issues with those covers.
