QUESTION: my 05 Limited as of now is not lifted. It will be. Can I install these shocks now, without it being lifted?

I just bought my Rusty's suspension lift and I upgraded to OME shocks I was thinking of the Ranchos but after some further research and this forum I figured these would be a lot better.

I see most sites are selling the OME rear shocks for about $70-75. Rusty's has them for $40??? Any ideas on this, are they different?

The only people selling Old Man Emu N132L Shocks are the folks at All J. Rusty and some of our other Dist. would have a 132, but the 132L is an All J exculsive. They paid for the right to sell them and have them made, so if you want the N132L, you'll need to contact All J.

The biggest Bene of the N132 or the N132L is that these shocks where designed for the KJ! The Rancho and the DT where both designed for other rigs. Only Old Man Emu took the time to engineer a shock specifically for the KJ... keep that in mind when you're comparing the products.

No, I wouldn't put them on a stock truck, they're too tall and they'll top out. Wait until you lift it. If Rusty is selling something for $40... you might want to be sure you're getting an OME Shock.

There you go... from the guy that made them for them!

What, exactly, is the difference between the N132 and the N132L? Is the N132 a stock replacement, or is it an extended shock also?

N132L is the 2.5" extended shock made for lifted KJ's. The N132 is the stock replacement shock which offers no more travel than stock.
All J worked w/ Seth from ARB to get the extended versions made and that is why they are currently the only vendor offering them.

THANKS ALL J!!! :D

I wish I had the money to get the N132L's so I will stick to the N132's for now.The N132's are a little longer than stock, heck they are longer than the SkyJacker shocks(that came with my 2 1/2" lft) that they replaced.I get plenty of flex with the N132's,might end up sticking with them cause the do limit my full flex potential(not enough for me to care about) but it keeps me from overstuffing these 265's and breaking the gas filler tube.

Seems to be a bit of confusion...
The N132 is the first shock we did for the KJ. It is designed to be run in conjunction with the OME suspension system.

The N132L is 2" longer than the N132, hence the L for "Long". All J Products commissioned ARB/OME to build them a shock for a KJ that is running their Frankenlift. The Rancho that they sold and still do for budget minded customers was designed to run on the back of a Durango... not a KJ, so Quinn was never happy with the ride they offered, only the travel. So, in comes the N132L, same length as the rancho with OME Valving, so you will improve the ride in the rear of the truck and get just touch more travel in comparisson to the Rancho out of the OME N132L because of the physical nature of the disc valves we use vs the Rancho foam cell valving.

Make sense now? Drop me a line if you have any questions! Thanks!

Sounds like KJ04 might have received inaccurate info from Rusty's :?:

ARBSeth just stated that the N132's where designed for the OME suspension system and isn't the OME coils 1"-1 1/2" taller than stock? Then yes the N132's are "extended" just not for a 2 1/2" lift, please correct me if I'm wrong.

ARBSeth stated the N132 is the first shock they did for the KJ. Which I understand runs with the OME suspension system. But I’m wondering why Rusty’s would sell the N132 with their 2.5” suspension lift?

Do you have the extended/compressed measurements for the N132 so we can compare it to the N132L and then to stock?
