JeepinAl has the best customer service I've ever seen. A new set is on the way.

JeepinAl, All J,and Rock Lizzard are cream of the crop in our meager list of KJ specialists but they are also the best when compared to anyone.

Just need Marty to get some lizzard stickers....that would be 8)

We are lucky to have them aren't we! When the time comes I know where my $$$ will go.

Last Saturday I had a weld break on my new Gen IVs. It was the driver side forward piece, also. They've been on about six weeks. Only one day of moderate wheeling in Calico a couple of weeks ago. Otherwise, nothing too difficult. Saturday was a pretty easy trail. I didn't hear any noise except rubbing from the front end after it broke. I don't have any pictures, but it looks just like Mutt's, except mine are red. Gave JeepinbyAl a call this morning, explained the problem and in less than an hour, my replacement set was waiting for the UPS man. Can't beat the service.

Isnt that extremely dangerous? What if the arm breaks at 70mph?

I guess it could be, but probably not as bad as if a wheel fell off at 70mph.

From past experience, what is more likely? Al's upper arms break at the welding point or KJ's loose wheels at 70mph?

A balljoint usually wont fail while cruising down the HW. If you take a hard turn and hit a big dip or bump it is possible.

The upper A-Arm has alot of side to side force but not much up and down. The lower balljoint had the weight of the Jeep trying to pull it out of its socket, the upper isnt like that.

When you take a turn it is trying to pull out on the upper A-arm(depending on side).

thats why i always thought that the arms should be cut, cast, or something along that line and not welded. Dont get me wrong from what ive seen and heard Al's arms, lifts and everything else are very well built but the more welds you start putting on things the more room for a problem to happen down the road. Now i know that if a weld is laid perfect its as strong if not sronger than what was welded but how often is something welded 100% perfect? I dont know im looking at it from the KISS standpoint. Al i got a question for you. Are the arms welded on the inside of the tubing in adition to the outside of it?

Anything is possible i guess. But many of the arms have broken 3 or 4? I'm sure there are a couple hundred sets out there on kj's with no problems.
