Tires??

265 70 17, 31.8 inches
265 75 16, 31.7
235 85 16 31.8 tall bet narrow
now these are coming off the BFG site some brands are taller some shorter but this is generally close the 265 70 17 is almost an inch wider than a 235 85 16 section width that is

Anytime you get up over a 245 75 16 at about 31 inches then you will have some rubbing. So if you want to go to say a 265 70 16 then go for it but just know that some extra cutting/ bending/ shapping is in your future :wink:

It also depends a lot on which wheels you choose to go with the width and back spacing

Hercules and Toyo have a lot of 17 inch sizes that will work

I just got back from off-roading with my new 245/70/16 General Grabber AT2s on stock 16x8 rims. I don't have a lift (but I am pre-lowered), and they worked great!! Only slight rubbing at full turn and full spring compression.

do you have a pre-lowered 2002 like medic9402? if so, then you really have a slight (< 1") lift vs. newer stock KJ's.
