You can always do what this guy did:
Image

And double up a Rusty's Suspension and Spacer lift... 2.5" + 2.5"

Rear:

Front:

Note the suspension at full droop although sitting on level ground

I must say that it looks Great! Especially with those tires :D ....BUT by the looks of that front end it isn't going to last to long. Iam not sure how that thing is going to flex? Looks like the UBJ is almost hitting the coil on flat ground.. Still looks good i guess..I wouldn't try it though! Wait for a proper 4"+ lift.

Well two things. If you don't have a proper lift in the front, that will be one heck of a rake. And you would need adjustable control arms for the rear with that much lift. For one, to adjust your pinion angle to get rid of driveshaft vibrations. And two, to move the axle back to the center of the wheelwell. That much lift will pull the rear axle forward without them.

Also may need to adjust the upper tri-link boomerang balljoint to move it back.

And a new rear driveshaft will be in order with that much lift.

My wife loves to drive my KJ! It handles superbly with the long control arms and the factory sway bar.

Image

What is in the Jeepin by Al 6" kit?

-Front strut kit

-Al’s A-arms New Gen 4

-2” sub frame for under K frame

-Steering knuckle extension

-Transfercase cross member shim plates

-Y link for on top or rear axel

-Long control arms on rear axel and use your factory sway bar

-Rear shocks and coil springs

-Steering rod extension

-Longer brake hoses

-Removing inner front wheel wells if using 33” tires

I am working on the installation manual and posting the parts on my web site this month!!

There is no need for the spring spacers, I have custom springs w/ factory ends on them to fit the factory spring pad.

Send me a e-mail at liftmykj6in@jeepinbyal.com for more info when it is available.

Steering knuckle extension
That would have me very worried on any driving surface, should have gone with new casted knuckles(way stronger than any knuckle extension can ever be).Thinking that's going to be the weak link(not knocking the lift but a extension on the knuckle sounds like a disaster waiting to happen).

Interesting for sure but still waiting to see one in action and QUITE a few miles on it. and yes a steering rod extension??? does sound a little scary but if done right , who knows, can we get a picture of that ASAP??

Also do I read it right that with 33s we will still need to take out the fender liner? So we can run 31s and some 32s now ....mmmm have to wait and see.

This is the best picture I have at this time.

The tires are (32.50") LT285/75R16 BF Goodrich TAs

Hey JeepinbyAl, how does that extension attach onto the knuckle? The ball-joint bore?

Sounds good to me as I will never run 33's on my KJ, I'd like to know what the full kit is worth. As in, one price to cover every part needed for the lift.

So with that kind of lift are there any other things you would need to change or alter to improve perfromance under the hood?

Depending on the price...I may be able to justify spending the extra $ for Al's lift (finding a buyer for my Franky would be harder!) but my ultimate goal would be to fit a nice set off 33's under mine and not have to worry about the front diff. exploding beneath me while on the trail. Is there anything we can possibly do (cost friendly) to strengthen the front end or is it going to be a "risky business" kind of deal wheeling one w/ 33's? I guess these are all quetions that need to be asked AFTER someone has done it successfully...and really put their rig through the paces. To my knowledge...the 30A's housing is the weakest link? Or is it the internals? Both?

I just can't ever see my rig with SFA...as much as I dream, it's just too unrealistic in my plans.

FIRST Thanks Marlin for posting that picture!
Of course you know by now a lot of us have been around long enough to see some of the kits come out that promised one thing but all they did was to take someones money. So in talking and making comments on here we are not downing your kit only trying to fiqure out what you have done differently and IF IT WILL WORK. So again Thanks for the picture. Please keep us updated as it comes closer to coming out.
To FastTRX, I am with you, two things would keep me from buying the kit, first the front diff, if it is strong enough for 33s all the time and also gearing, 4.10s will never get it with me and 33s, yes it could be done but I would really want something lower.
