1. Renagade Light bar <-Ebay $450
2. Skid Plate Package <-thin, weak metal...and an option on Sports
3. Rock Rails <-negative. Aluminum Step bars.
4. Tow Hooks <-$50 a piece, optional on Sport
5. Rear Diff Locker <-not a locker, just "Trac-Loc". Another option a sport can have.

OF MEDIUM IMPORTANCE
1. More Powerful Alternator
2. Better Transmission Cooler <-towing package, or buy one for $30
3. Pre-wired Tow <-towing package
4. Better tires, but I would replace anyways..

Basically, it's paint and looks. Sports are buildable, i.e. not constrained to OEM.

I bought a jeep liberty sport and want a wrangler 4door, but the main thing is doing what you are doing, making the most out of what you got. The only differences between most libertys are all parts you can get or purchase staright from the dealer

I'm pretty sure our '03 Renegade doesn't have an LSD rear. Was the LSD standard on ALL years of Renegades?

I wish the LSD would have been standard in the Renegade package though.

Oh well... get a locker, and you'll be better off in the long run!

Agreed. I put aPowertrax in my Jeep but the 5-speed hated it. Don't ask me why, but it wouldn't shift smoothly anymore. A few others had the same problem. And I can't afford the ARB yet, so I am still open.

you have a chrysler 8.25 probably with a 3.73 ratio

why can't you have a locker in the rear of your KJ?
if you were willing to shell out the coin to make it look like another model then getting a locker would be smart money
and probably cost less and I know it would serve a functional purpose
