It is most likely your front drive shaft CV. Just had to have mine rebuilt 2 weeks ago.

Start simple then get complicated.

What kind of wheels? Steelies or alloy? Pot holes lately? COUYLD be a slightly bent rim if steel or a blown tread. Could have thrown a weight. IF they were just balanced and one of the wieghts was not set or pounded on all the way you could have thrown it. Look on both front wheels inside and out along the bead rim and see if there is a mark where a weight WAS.

Jack the front end and spin the tires. check for blown tread. andy play when you wiggle the tire as it is suspended?

If you go in to a shop saying my wheels shake they get dollar signs in their eyes.

check the simple stuff first.

Blown tread=warrantee maybe or at least road hazard.

good luck.

How many miles? if it's a side-to-side shake in the steering wheel, i'd jack it up and wiggle the wheel back and forth (horizontally, along the steering axis) to see if tehre's any lay in the tie rod ends

I have the sport alloy wheels... I lifted the front and the wheels don't seem to wiggle.... I may have thrown a weight on the passenger rear...
All of the noises seem to be coming from underneath my feet in the middle of the KJ. Especially when I accelerate in reverse!

Mileage  124,626 I had new Tie rod ends put in at around 90,000 and did the factory recall on the LBall Joints.. I had all the oils in the diffs/trans ect.. changed at 112,000
oh my steering wheel doesn't seem to shake from side to side and seems to be going straight down the road..

Thanks again
Chris

Drive shaft or propeller shaft u joints it sounds like. don't feel it in the steering, and is in center of vehicle.

check the drive shafts.

I was almost going to say check the lug-nuts for tightness but then I felt bad for thinking that one. My money is on a bum U-joint on the rear driveshaft. Probably because of all the slack in the drive line and then toss on the 125,000+ miles driven. It's time for a few more "high mileage" bits to fail.

Good Luck

Ha I have to go tell my wife that I was right for a change
By the way mine went at about 55000 miles, greaseable ones now so before every off road trip shot a little grease in them, plus every oil change
