What's the part number for those? Are they cheaper then OME, will the combined lift still be as high, with the Skyjackers, and the Rancho Components?

Why do you think you need the long travel shocks?

Wont you need longer brake lines for those as well as longer bump stops?

If you don't remove the sway bar then you wont get the articulation for the price. If you do remove it then you WILL need brake lines and bumpstops.

Go with the regular travel OME shoks or Ranchos.

Thx Woody. Everybody else in agreement that the long travel shocks aren't worth it if I don't remove the sway bar?

You can't get "pre-soft ride" SkyJacker coils any more, they only make the softride coils which are equal to the light OME coils, plus you need to modify the coils(ie-cut them) to make them work with any other strut besides the SkyJacker ones.

You mostly only need longer rear brake lines for '06+ KJ's(and for more then 3" of lift, super easy fix if you need one,get a 3" piece of 1" wide metal, drill two 1/4" holes in it and unbolt the rear brakeline block from the unibody and add the 3" extension,I did this set-up for 2 years). If you don't get the longer travel shocks(N132L's or Rancho 17004's) there's no point in getting a lift since you will not gain any more flex, for the rear at least, plus you can atually ruin the rear shocks faster if you don't get longer ones. The rear OME N132's(not the long travel) are only about 1/2" longer then the stock rear shocks.Bumpstops are a given and need to be added to any lift, front and rear.

Doesnt look as if I am needed here!
OME coils .........covered
Rancho shocks/struts ...........covered
BUMPSTOPS ...........covered

Oh and anyone if running just the OME springs ( even with a small clevis) you should have no problems at all with the alignment

Any drawbacks to OME HD coils? I don't have a bumper, and am not planning one for a while. How much extra lift over the mediums?

Skyjacker and Terraflex make extended front upper bumpstops.

did the price of the rancho front struts go up at summit? it lists them as $98 each for the rsx17505, and the rears are like $59 for the RSX17004

although i do have a $20 off 50 bucks or more at summitracing so i might get them there anyways, by the time i pay 85 each at all j's and pay shipping.

Dont need the untrusty rustys strut plate to level it out clevis will do it, waste of 40 bucks, unless you want to go higher than the rear springs will take you. Mine sits level with OME HDs all around with a clevis. Now in a month that may change

When lifting with the different components, is it necessary or worth it to replace any of the hardware, for example the mount plates?

Hey Drybones, I'm down for a group buy if we got some people. Nova Jeepers, and Off Camber Crawlers, will help us with wrenching parties for install. Hardest part will assembly of the struts. Nova Jeepers is especially nice to KJers. Don't put any money into a roof rack just yet. A couple lost members, and myself are working on myself. You are going to be interested also. Give me a month and I will show you.

i didnt replace any of my hardware but ive heard some have. might be easier if u were taking it somewhere to have the springs compressed. other than that if they are not worn out i wouldnt see why you would have to.
yes there is a rack in the making (soon)
