I am confused. I have both the sticker for the trak-lock and my build sheet says i have it but my diff looks just a little different than the first one posted. What am i missing?

I would bet that 75% of the 4wd vehicles sold in the last 50 years were open/open. Even those with a factory LSD probably are "open" after 35,000 miles or so, especially the trac-lock equipped ones.

im sure it's more of an exception than a standard but my trac loc rear still works great at 94k

I believe that actually is a trac lok carrier. After I made this original post I did some internet surfing and found some pictures side by side of the trac lok and open diff carriers. Just because you can see the spider gears doesn't mean that it's open. : After a brief search I found the page that has it. This guy swapped an open diff for a trac lok that somebody gave him. It would appear to me that you do indeed have the trac lok.
