theres a DTT in my D30a , the DTT is what a majority of the people here are running in the front if they aren't running an open front

At the bottom of the page in your link it states:
Jeep Liberty owners, check your VIN with your Jeep dealer and if you have the Dana 30A or Next Generation Differential the XD13027 does not fit that carrier.

We have the D-30A!.... So no, it's not going to work.

The DTT and ARB is a full carrier replacement, which means those unit replace the OEM carriers. The lunchbox lockers only replace the spider gear in the OEM carrier. The KJ uses a D30A front diff and uses a different carrier then the D30,full carrier replacements work between the 2 diffs but not lunchbox style lockers.

No kidding, numb nutz!!! I said that when I posted it the first time. The DTT shows D30, not a D30a SO HOW DOES THAT WORK, since "We have the D-30A!.... So no, it's not going to work"

So, if it's the factory OEM cases that are different, then you can scrounge up a true D30 open carrier from just about anywhere that does diffs for free and put in any lunchbox locker you want........at least thats my theory. I can't believe nobody has tried that before. Does a full Detriot locker work in the front? As it's a full carrier replacement also. Or the Auburn Ected???

Not going to get into the will it or will it not right now, but from what i can find no one here has tried a lunchbox or aussie locker in the front. So listen to people with a grain of salt as it if it will or will not fit as they have never done it. But what they are suggesting as the common LSD or locker is dead spot on. Those both are proven to work by many members here. Hopefully soon i will get to be one of the first to try a Lock-right in the d30a.

thats probably because Aussie clearly says NOT For Dana 30A Diffs.

But Im still very curious to see how your powertrax works in there, your gonna end the debate once and for all.

2mopar, i really don't want you to get the wrong idea about anyones attitude from this topic, alot of people are just real tired of arguing one way or another, i think our best bet is to wait a bit and see how back-in-black's experience goes with that powertrax

the D30A is probably the most argued about topic on the forum hehe

argued about to the point where i think some people who used to have really good reasons as to why certain things would or wouldnt work now kind of question whether or not they were right and it's not really a fault of their own knowledge, its more of a fault of the manufacturers being weenies and not supporting our wheeling habits as D30A owners

since noone has seemed to have actually put the round peg in the square hole and most of us had simply settled for the DTT (which really isn't that bad of a Settling if you ask me)

i'm sure by now you've probably found alot of the older front diff threads, im actually hoping that alot of people were wrong, including myself
if what b-t-b tries works, it will open up even more options for us

its not normally a topic of argument it just has been recent months bc people make it that way. The DTT is not a settlement in any way, its better then being open, yeah its not a true locker but its not that big of a deal, I dont see why everyone makes such a big deal of it.
