Will pay itself off 100 times over. I have 2 1/2 years of college for a diesel tech, all of the side jobs I have done and work for myself, I know I have paid off all my college. A great investment, plus it is cool to say that you can do all of that sort of stuff yourself, the down side is that you can burn up alto of spair time helping out your friends with their vehicles.

Some are nice like that, but you always get some that dont offer or do a thing. Family has got to be the worst, BUT, they are family. Always glad to help somebody out in a pinch though.

chrysler customer service called the dealership and they told them i abuse my jeep and that they were going to charge me 300 to do a front diff flush if i didnt want to have the parts put in. f*** them now. im calling everyone i have to to file complaints on them. i saw the diff fluid. it was still semi transparent. they're full of it over there. im never going back

Did you ask Chrysler Customer Service how exactly you abuse your Jeep? If you didn't do the following, you should.. Did you remember to tell them what is stated in the manual regarding crossing water? Did you ask if someone from their office in the area could inspect the Jeep? Of course the dealer could sabotage the Jeep if they knew someone was coming.

Check the local news station web sites and see if they have a consumer complaint reporter. I'd also contact the Indiana Attorney Generals Office and DC Jeep in Michigan. Finally, what is the name of this dealership?

Good luck.

Not exactly what I'd do, but I know where you're coming from.

my wife is pissed off at me for this reason. three days a week someone comes over and says "my car is doing xxxxxx, can you look at it?" she was mad because for spring break we did a motor swap on a buddies bmw and hten sunday we did a swap from a scirroco to a corrado. she was really pissed when i told her my 320i blew hte headgasket and would require me to swap in the larger 2 litre motor sometime soon.

well.. sometimes the wrench skills can cost the 'household' more money, or it may 'seem' like it, but when you put it on paper and calc in dealer labor costs, it all of a sudden doesn't make people pissed off anymore

My gf has no real interest in bein a grease monkey, she does however like for me to show her how to do certain things

Ms5490, dude again.. I'm horribly sorry you're having such a horrid time with your jeep and now with the dealer too. I wish you lived down this way so us carolina boys could help ease the wrench pains

i just wish this crap wouldnt happen. atleast not so much. last year i would have taken a bullet to save my jeep. now i feel its just going to break again. you know the guys at the dealer told me if i raise the breather tubes my gears would lock up. they really must deal with some stupid people to think they could pull that off

have you tried a different dealer then? They arent the best place to go but for some reason you keep going back, and to the same one, I havent taken my Jeep back to the dealer except once since I bought it and it was for a recall, I just found a mechanic that does the work I cant do and he does awesome work.
