In my thread when I was looking for opinions (Locking for a final answer) on what I should put in no one knew for sure how a locker would interact with ESP.
The locker being a locker....not a specific brand. I chose the DL because it seemed no one had a bad thing to say about the company (except me in the end). The ARB locks on demand but even then, no one knew for sure how it will work with ESP (when locked).
If there are people with ESP and lockers out there, they did not state their experiences on here as far as I can tell. The techs at Eaton were also unwilling to give an up or down vote on interactions with ESP.
As far as I know, if a KJ owner with ESP installs a locker they are a pioneer blazing new ground and should share their experiences with the world. Which was my plan before the bad times.
The thing about the ARB locker is its selectable. Your not likely to be engaging your lockers at highway speeds anyway, just slow trail crawling or straight ahead get through the mud situations. The rest of the time ESP will see it as an open diff. No issues.
I choose ARB's front so I could continue to use full-time 4wd. I was worried that it would do strange things. I don't have ESP so I might have gone DL for the rear, but since I felt my only choice up front was ARB, didn't make sense to mix and match, beside I had to buy the compressor anyway.
