Anyone find a resolution to this? Mine is still there if not worse, but I did notice that it seems to go away when in 4wd.

Thanks guys!

Thanks for the update! Are you having the stealership do the replacement? I'm wondering how much that would end up being, and/or how difficult they are to replace.

Couple more questions regarding this [bad] vibe. I apologize in advance for my noob-ish questions.

Is the axle shaft the same as the CV assembly? I'm trying to remember what the stealership replaced on the passenger side previously and they said that the passenger side is longer than the drivers side. I'm thinking they were talking about the axle shaft. I also believe they just swapped the bearing and seal to resolve a previous noise the KJ was making.

To cure this vibe, I should be able to just swap out the bearing, clip, and seal at the diff side, and not the whole assembly, correct?

Thanks again guys, this vibe is driving me nuts. I'm also curious if I could have the local 4x4 shop perform the swap or if a buddy and I could tackle it. Anyone in NE IL know how to tackle something like this on the KJ?

well we think we discoverd the problem :?

went in today to have the pass. side cv shaft/ drive axel replaced & when they got it out the cv shaft wouldn't come off the axel shaft, after cutting it off the cv shaft ever so carefuly we discoverd that the axel shaft that goes from there into the front diff was rusted to NO end & upon further inspection the splines were WASTED  due to cv angels from my lift ( rusty's 2.5 & 3 ring clevis) the angels I felt were NOT bad at all compared to some I've seen here but it must've been enough to wear the teeth down

so I'll get my jeep back mon or tue & give an update on if this was indeed the source of noise/vibration but we pretty confident that it is, now I'm probably going to replace the drivers side sometime soon with in the month

Thanks for the updates, raceinfan! Yeah, mine's just been sitting in the garage until I feel like brining it somewhere to get taken care of. The shop I was dealing with couldn't figure it out, and I'm really trying not to bring it to the stealership. There's a 4x4 shop in McHenry, IL but I haven't been able to find out any good/bad reviews on them yet.

I'll keep ya posted!

I took my to dealership and they blamed it on the lift, don't they always? I have a 4x4 shop about 1 hr away that Im going to try next, when I save some money. Thank you guys for all the updates.

well I figure in an 8 month period 9,600 & I have the Rusty's full kit not the spacer

the shop that did knows what thier doing so it's not thier fault by any means, matter of fact thier the ones who discoverd the problem & told me it was because of the cv angels but I had told them I've seen worse & no issues at all :? must be just a fluke thing on my part..don't know I'm just glad it's fixed
