SHE JUST LOVE MY BIG 12 INCH...

(yes, I know it's 10...but I have an optimistic ruler...)

No No what did I miss??? A 12" Lift for the KJ :o :o no way No how!! and keep the IFS and the 30 up front....35" rubber, diff, good by, center of gravity Goodby, off road cabibility big =0, chances of rolling it over first time out 100% gear ratio???, front axels will never take the beating. dont get me wrong I love the guy, great out fit and they put out great products, but this one has a lot of question marks. SFA people :D :D

I know he had 35's on it...and Ill admit it as much as I know about this stuff Im guilty :( Back 2 years ago and dont Laugh, I did it 35's off my TJ, now here is the good part, 35's on moabs with spacers, Oh Boy!! my axels were screaming, could even try to take a guess what happened to my gear rario, turning was like trying to turn a Whitefreightliner with a 55'box behind it, even if I took my fender wells out they still would have hit something, but gota admit it looked great. Had it do it. removed them the next day. So, not taking any money from anyones pocket but a 12" lift for the KJ, with the IFS, 35"s and the aluminum can up front, not healthy, if youre looking for pleasure rides on a sunny afternoon maybe just to look good. Off road? :(
Man the hole entire drive train would take a strain, nevermind the center of gravity ..rolling over, been there done that, got a thing about it, and anyway why would you need a 12" incher anyway, suspension that is :)

then who knows maybe he will make it work, but after all the $$$ you will wind up spending on parts and then fixing after you bust things up, you could have done an SFA correctly that is . Ill stop now before I get in a heep of trouble

Doesn't the pic he has on his site have that Rock Krawler kit on it? That front cradle drop looks like it might even say Rock Krawler.

it does , or at least that is what I am seeing
and it looks like the white one that Sirius had or one of those companies for promotional use

I mean I like Marlin he's treated me fair and all to date but I would have to ask him why he posts a picture of a flawed from the beginning lift from another company on his site. :? :?

this lift is for the guys that are tired of being miss treated and laughed at for driving "a girl car" and they want to be able to say mines bigger, you know like your friends with a xj with 33"s under it, or your other friend who has a srt8 cherokee... hypotheticlly speaking of coarse.

Never really thought of the KJ bein a Girl car, after almost 7 years of owning mine, well to the guys out there that may be cracked on by other Jeep owners for the KJ being what it is.. hey dont worry about it! I bought it , I own it, and I have fun with it, myself, dont really need to prove anything to anyone. But you are right Kyle some people just need to be bigger and do bigger things.. Funny I think. :)

I really hope Marlin didn't just buy RK's designs. That would just be sad. I do have to argue a bit here, though. IF you were JUST going to use it for DD, mud bogging (groomed competition pits, ONLY!), and smooth water crossings (4-5 FEET! deep fording with a snorkel and extended breathers, etc), I think a 12" lift and 33-35" tires MIGHT work on a KJ with 4.10 gears. 4.56 would be better but, finding a set for the front diff is impossible now, isn't it? However, 4.56's in the rear with a locker might make a "fair" mud truck. BUT, you could buy a FSJ; lift, lock and slap big rubbers on it; for a whole lot less than what it would cost to lift a KJ 12 inches.

Oh, and as for the XJ's with 33s, my KJ would HAVE to be SFA to compete with my friends...

Image

I'll just stick to my plan of using the J10 for wheelin' and the KJ for camping/fishing/DD.

I am looking for a 2 wheel drive KJ for cheap, throw this lift on when it comes out and cruise the mall every night and look DOWN on everyone else in their tiny little Libertys, no one would know it was a two wheel drive anyways so....

not really but could be done for S & Gs
