| Post subject: | ARB Air Locker or Auburn Ected? |
Looking at maybe getting a selectable locker for the front end. Anyone running either the ARB or the Auburn? How difficult to install are they or better yet, how difficult to remove the front diff housing? Cant decide on which one to get. ARB is more money but is a proven system. Auburn Ected is a little cheaper due to the fact that a compressor is not needed but it is relatively new. The Auburn is nice in that I could run a LSD when not fully locked and gain the benefits of that. Any advise would be nice. Thanks |

I know the ECTED isn't available for the 8.25 yet, and there definitely isn't one for the D30A. Supposedly an ECTED for the 8.25 is in the works, which would make sense because they're found in XJ's as well as KJ's, but you probably shouldn't hold your breath waiting for one for the front. It's possible, since there's a limited slip available for the front, but there's likely not much of a market. |

ARB do front and rear air lockers bonus is you get a compressor to air up your tyres after a day of wheeling |

Will the Auburn Ected for the standard D30 fit the D30a? Is there really that much of a difference between the two other than one is aluminum and one is cast? Both I believe are 27 spline axles. Also, who is running ARB in both the front and rear or only the front. |
