Did a small trip out yesterday with the bar on for the 1st time. Slider plate has been on for a few months & worth its weight in Gold I say.

These 2 products will be on display at SEMA soon. The guys here in OZ have contacts for people with KJ's in the States. I dont have anything to do with that but I sure hope its someone from this board !!

The slider is awesome. I've cased out many times with the full vehicle weight resting on that plate & it wont budge......the criss-cross fold in it makes it uber strong.

I ran (as always off road) without my front sway bar. Even with those 16x8 rims + offset, the 245/75/16 MTRs didnt rub at all during full tuck.
I was concerned that they would, but the TJM guys based they're design around what I had chopped out of my front bumper & liner ;) how clever !! haha!!

I'm not running a winch so the front & top of the bar still is solid, but if you want to put a winch in later, you simply 'bang' out the laser cut break aways and presto!!

I also like the fact that the top "Bridge" that holds the spotties, is totally removable - If you have heaps of lights on your roof or whatever, and you like that sleek clean look, just unscrew the bridge !!

The design for the 02-04 is yest to be determined, dont get your hopes up just yet people - it may not look like happening for you guys :(

Lastly, here's a link to the TJM website. It shows the 1st product they developed for the KJ, off my car (it made it onto the website !! :) ! Nudge Bar.

Tell me more about the front bumper. How thick is the steel? I see that it curves around the sides. Is the steel thinner there, or do you guys use some heavy presses to roll it?

More pics plz...closeup of a sideview if possible. Also, did they shorten it like you were wanting them to? Thx for the pics though. It looks really good. What is the price and when are they available?

Is there any reason why the 05-06 bumper wouldn't bolt on to an 02-04 Liberty? Obviously there would be no provisions for the stock turn signal indicators and fog lights, but as long as we cut the fender flares in the right spot, I don't see any other problem...

Unfortunately they did not. There would have to be a little "re-inventing" with the support/mounting bracketry + the fact we were running out of time.

I might get it tcked in a bit more down the track if nessessary, but its good for the moment. We did some pretty insane steep decents with mounds of dirt at the bottom pushed up by bulldozers (to barracade the entrace/exits) and they were seriously angled - no rubbing. The front IFS skid scraped a bucket load to give you an idea - and that's my custom modded low profiled skid (removed material & gained 60mm of extra clearance).

I'm going to take advantage of that bottom 45deg angle (face of the bullbar) and install some rock lights for night runs + it helps if I have to attach or remove the front swaybar at night (which IS usually done the night before I go wheeling)

I'll get some more profile shots for you all, but what i'll try & do is hook up with some other KJ buddies of mine with ARB bars & take some pics head on, side by side ect for comparo sake.

I love the way the bar looks as it retains so much of the KJ's Face !! The ARB one seems to make all ARB Bar equipped vehicles look the same (just my 2cts!)

Talk later,
Stu
