Why? You do not need to weld with this setup? :?

I dont understand what took so long for this? That is so simple its not funny, but it works! :D

Mutt, I cannot believe youve been driving around with no sway bar. Do you just hit anything that runs or pulls out infront of you?

No swaybar in front is a bad ending waiting to happen. Put it back on tonight!

Jim said it was almost identical to the 4100 model, which has weld on tabs, but I guess since we have an IFS we don't have to weld the tabs on, but just clip the disconnects onto the LCAs. Never really thought about it, sweet :D

Anybody else notice in the second picture how the support cable is rubbing against the brake hose.
I think the front flexing would make a sawing action and cut the brake hose.

Wow, that is almost scary. I guess Jim must have read my post from back in February when the whole "needing disconnects" question came up. I was looking at the front suspension, and thought either the 3100 or most likely the 4100 disco would work, it was just a matter of figuring out what to do with the swaybar flopping around after discoing it. My thought was unbolt the four other bolts on the front crossmember and completely get it out of the way, but Jim came up with a nifty cable retainer setup. Here is my post :D :

The picture is gone now since he rearranged his website, but it was of the 4100 discos. Haha.

Hey Matt, got any other detailed pics? I can sort of see how it works but I need to see how it connects :? Looks pretty good though.
I wonder if the sway bar bangs on things during full stuff ?

Post subject:  The latest from Jim

Quoting Jim: "I have been running the QD's on the stock company KJ since October of 2005. With the swaybar disconnected and the suspension cycled through it's entire range the swaybar does not come in contact with either the upper or lower A-arms with our storage lanyard system. The trick is keeping the swaybar in what I am calling the "neutral" position. While disconnect, the swaybar must remain in the same position it is when connected. You don't swing the swaybar up and out of the way like the typical TJ, XJ, ZJ, WJ, MJ application. Simply pull both QD's (passenger side and drivers side) and install the lanyard. Stowe the QD's inside the vehicle while disconnected and vice versa....stowe the lanyard inside while connected. Do not attempt to disconnect only one side thinking the other side will clear the A-arms.......IT DOES NOT!"
