| Post subject: | Faulty "Check engine" |
Had a little scare this morning. The wife had to move the Liberty so I could get my Honda out of the driveway to go to work. At first I thought she was dimming to parking lights not to blind me, only then did I realize she was flashing the lights at me. Not exactly being awake at 5:30 a.m., I wandered back to her and asked, "What's up?" She promptly pointed to the dash and the check engine idiot light. "Great", I'm thinking. So all day at work I pondered what was going on with the Jeep. Could it have been my Ernesto water fording that had caused a problem? Got home disconnected the negative on the battery for about five minutes to flash the computer and then hooked it back up. To my relief the light was gone. I figure some sensor must have been wet sending a faulty code. Now I've got to go out and reinstall my front swaybar and new JKS quick disconnects. Getting it aligned again on Thursday. Still got to mount my HiLift jack and install some 1/2" spacers in the rear. Getting stoked for Crozet, Virginia this weekend. Wish me luck! |

I didn't pull the codes due to not having an OBD, that and working in Virginia and living in North Carolina, everything is closed when I get home. |
