Recently had a windshield washer tank installed by Kodiak industries. They owed it to my wifes KJ as it hadn't gotten finished before being raffled off. Previous owner never took advantage of getting it finished up so we did.

Tank hold just over a Qt. and is made by Moon industries. It's orginal purpose was a radiator overflow tank for hot rods.

It is mounted where the factory cruise control would sit so that could be a problem for people w/ cruise. It does use the factory pump which is just plumbed in w/ some hose. It works great!

We bought it from the winner. The shower assy. is the copper pipe w/ red clamps. The intake and shower connections can be seen on the left side near the air filter. Under the air filter is the pump assy. for the system.

Now that we are OT on this thread, anyone care about the washer tank?

More info coming in the near future on the shower setup.

Here is some info straight from the Mooneyes site:MOONEYES TANK ASSY

Not positive on what all else went into it but if someone else wants to attempt the same deal I might be able to take it apart and get more info/better pics.

$107.00 for a fancy washer bottle. I don't think so!

My washer bottle conversion for $10.99.
2.5 qt. coolant over flow bottle with wire holder from Advance auto parts. They also carry a smaller one.

I agree, but it didn't come out of my pocket. It was owed to the vehicle from when it was being built for the raffle. Had it been out of my budget, it would have been the same bottle you used. This is just another option for those that want/need one.

See this is where us CRD LTD Folk luck out........we have not only the anti polution & vacuum system in there, but Cruise control as well. I have nearly 0 room for this (what is supposed to be) simple conversion. I've removed my washer bottle yesterday (been broken for some time now, tyre broke off the plastic Tee piece!).

I've removed my front inner guard liners now so Zero rub, I love it !. I dont care much for washing my screen whilst driving.

It was the raffle vehicle for California Association of 4wd clubs in 2005. It was built throughout 2004 and raffled off in Feb. 05. We bought it from the winner in March 06. We decided it needed to stay in the family as KJ WEST helped build the KJ (KuJo) down at All J's shop. I personally installed the Boulderbars and roof rack and assisted with the lift install.
When my wife found out it was available she had to have it.

This Style of Tank might be another option. It comes in various lengths and might just sqeeze into a tight spot. Check w/ Summit racing or similar aftermarket racing co's as they might have one like it cheaper.

is this as easy as any tank with in and outlet that will fit in there?

can i get some detailed info?

Basically, you need a tank that can hold about a Qt. or so of liquid and that you can plumb the pump to. I have seen some use the plastic tank and cut a hole for the pump to fit into the side of the tank and I am sure you could just run a hose from the tank to the pump too like how mine is done.

For those with Cruise, You can make a custom bracket and rotate the vacume pump for cruise control 90 degrees so it sits up, there is slack in the tube and wires. I put my ARB compressor there 4 years ago, and cruise still works fine.
