Looks like there's no transfer case or transmission skid avaiable through Mopar, but I thought my dealer told me the ones for 2004-2007 models would fit. What are you '03 owners using? (Please don't rehash how flimsy the Mopar skids can be. I know there's better out there, but I'm on a tight modding budget.) T.J. |

Jparts.com lists the available skid plates. Engine and gas tank skids fit all years. The transmission skid is listed for later years, but I and a few others have had it installed on our '03s with some modification. Don't know about the transfer case skid. |

I have the tranny skid on mine, all I had to do was drill a hole in my tcase cross member. Ive heard that on the 03's, the exhaust gets in the way and you need to add spacers(washers) and beat some of the skid flat so it doesnt hit it. You may also need to drill a hole for the tcase skid. One of mine on my 04 didnt line up, I didnt even bother with it. |

Mine's an 03. Mopar front suspension skid
All J super skid for the tranny
Mopar transfer case skid
Mopar gas skid
The gas skid has been switched to a Kilby. The Mopar one was totally worth it for the price, it's just not too hard to bend. Let me know if you'd like any of the pictures larger or anything. |

We have the 3 "OE" skids for the '03 and a "Jason" skid for the trans I know that we put the trans skid on nolakj's '03 sport and for all the trouble I would recomend against it I know that you dont want to hear about how weak the factory skids are but I think they should last more than one ride as far as the ones we got 3 or 4 rides and not a dent on the trans skid the other 3 (x-fer case fuel tank and engine) nothing but some scraches and we have been wheelin several times on them We put the trans on cause the trails started to get harder |

My front skid is the only skid that has been beaten bad. No dents, but it scratched up really good. The tcase skid has one big scratch on it, but nothing would of been hit if the skid wouldnt of been there. |

Yeah, don't worry about drilling holes. I have the tranny skid on my '05 and the cheap nutzert used to hold it in broke - I ended up drilling the cross member anyway to hold it on for good... As for the transfer case skid, without it, I would have trashed my t-case the first time out. I came down hard on a submerged rock in a creek bed and put a large dent/scare in the dead center of that skid..... |

Unless you're only doing very light wheeling, pass on the MOPAR tranny skid. Especially if you have an 03'. It bringeth the suck!!! |

I got a Mopar trans skid plate for my '03 (I think it is the '04 -06 skid plate)......spent hours; drilling holes in skid, grinding down the skid to clear the exhaust pipe so it would fit without washers. It worked....but I don't think it is worth the effort considering All J's and Skid Row has stronger skids that they say fit the '03. For now I'll keep modified Mopar...but at some point I would like to get a better one. But it is do-able. |

Can anybody provide part numbers for the six bolts needed to attach the Mopar fuel tank skid? I think I'll only need four since two of my rear tow hook bolts also secure one corner of the fuel tank skid. T.J. |

If you get the skid from mopar it will come with them. I already had them since I had a hitch but its nice to have some spares around.. |

Did you try taking the bolts you have to the hardware store to find a match? |

I run them both. The SuperSkid comes right up to the transfer skid. |
