I’m trying to decide what lift to get for my 2003 Liberty Sport. I Currently live in Alaska at Elmendorf AFB but am moving down to Nellis AFB. I have 245/75/R16 on it now with stalk suspension. Anyway I’m trying to get some 32s on it if I can but I still need that reliability. I would rather not want to change the drive lines or the ring and pinion if I don’t have to but if that’s better to do I will do it for the reliability. Well NEED SO ADVICE.

LIBERTY 3.5 X FACTOR SYSTEM

SKU: RKKJ35XF
Suggested Retail: $940.00
The Rock Krawler 3.5 Inch X Factor System for the Jeep Liberty has been engineered to give you the most ability for your Jeep Liberty with ease of installation, performance and durability in mind. Rock Krawler replaces the factory lower cast factory strut forks with new high quality laser cut steel units that are 3/16 thick and they have a cool aggressive look. This maintains the factory travel range and ride quality from the OEM front strut. Where other entry systems stop is where we excel. Rock Krawler provides high quality extended front sway bar links that puts the front sway bar back in the factory operation position so not an ounce of highway handling is lost. In the rear, harmonically matched long travel rear coils replace the factory coil springs. Double adjustable rear lower control arms with a massive bushing at the frame and Krawler Joint at the axle open up the rear’s travel and articulation range. The rear suspension is completed with a set of Rock Krawler long travel rear shocks that mount can up for exceptional ride quality! This is the best 3.5 Inch system on the market for Liberty’s.

System Benefits:
-Complete Bolt in System
-Excellent Highway Ride and Handling

I do not believe anyone has that kit on a stock libby. If they do Ive never read about it.

The franken lift is tried and true, probably your best bet.

First thing I'd ask is, "3.5 inches from what, a pre-lowered '02 or a lowered late model?"

The Frankenlift is the bomb!

I don't thin Al is selling the kit, I know he is looking at some of the parts to incorporate into his new 5 inch lift prototype to see if they can help with some of the problems he has.

I would like to know about this lift as well. If I remember correctly, Al is using their 3" clevis lift on top of the Frankenlift to get 5 1/2 inches up front. Also he seems to think this is a much better product than the 7-up and wants to help test it by putting it on someones ride and getting feedback. My main concern with it is if the CV angle is too steep at 3 1/2 inches of lift? Or does the clevis spacer lift leave the angle better off than the regular suspension lift does?

Fitting 32's up front would be nice and I could live with 3 1/2 inches in front instead of four. It would look better with 3.5 in front and 4 in back anyway. I would only be interested in some of the pieces out of it though. I would not want to buy this whole kit as I have a CRD and I don't want to be that much of a test monkey with their in-house shocks and springs. I would like the clevis (as I can't easily get springs for the CRD anyway). I might also be interested in the control arms. I would then finish the lift with OME heavy duty strut(shock) in the front, Some kind of suitable heavy-duty springs in the back and OME/Bilstien shocks in the rear.

But I am sure All-J still has the best support. Maybe they would like to make the FrankenLift CRD III similar to this?

On a related note...please help me out of my suspension stupidity...

Would longer custom half-shafts and Al's A-arms solve the angle issues with this 3 1/2 inch lift? What besides the $2500 knuckles off the Liberator could solve this enough for 3.5 inches to work slick as snot in the front? Would I need a slip yoke eliminator in the back (NV242)? I would like to get some numbers to play with.... tired of waiting for a bigger lift to be made. I am willing to piece something together if I can keep the price from going astronomical and minimize the risk of exploding stuff. I am not willing to half arse stuff (way out of spec alignment, driveline vibes) nor am I willing to start torching stuff (aka SFA conversion) as I am still in warranty and would like to take it back to stock if need be.

The 2 1/2 inch lift will incorporate some 32 in tires, some are running 265/75X16s and 235/85X16s.

I would be curious as to the steep angle of the tie rods this lift would make and how bad bumpsteer would be.

Maybe I missed it, but from reading the list of included parts it looks like the kit just uses the factory front struts. For $1000+(i am guessing on the shipping) I would expect it to include new front struts.

True, I think the bucks is in the size of lift rather than the components. I actually like the sounds of the rear hardware but the front leaves question if the CV's will have too much bind and boot wear plus there is the severe drop on the tie rods that won't drive well on the street.
